Baby Names Empty Baby Names

Post by mandy77 Fri Sep 26, 2008 12:29 am

Okay so this is the first time I have really posted on here, other than my personal information. My DF and I have been looking at names for the baby. I FINALLY got him to break the list down to 2 names that we agreed on Olivia and Lillian. Tonight I asked my DD what she thought of the names and she likes Lillian. I told my DF and he just said okay then I guess it's Lillian. Maybe it's just me or my hormones, but I thought he might care a little more. On the bright side we now have a name: Lillian Alexis Ferrell. Very Happy

I do think we get way more excited about these things than men do...but we also take it more seriously...With my DD my Dh was really excited about picking the name, with this one, it was like pulling teeth. I love the name though, it is beautiful.

My DH was the same way. He is really serious about names he doesnt like but isnt that big about names that are ok. Its almost like he put more stock in what we named our dogs. Neutral Nathaniel was the only name we could agree on because he didnt hate it. I think its just the way they are.

I agree. First off that's a beautiful name.. of course I love Olivia too! It was one of my choices if this one was a girl. Smile

My SO is so poopy about names that we still haven't agreed on one. I'm just going to name him in the hostipal because I don't want to talk about it with him anymore. If he doesn't like the name than he can call him by a nick name.. So at least you got him to agree on something..LOL Cool

Great name, I wanted Lillian this time, it is my Grandmother's name, but she actually said she would prefer I not do that as my other daughter's names are not from the family at all. Go figure Suspect So we finally settled on Sophia AshleeRose Sanders. I am not crazy about the middle name, but DF loves it for whatever reason. I don't like that it is technically 2 names but whatever I got my 2nd choice for a 1st name Smile lol. So I will now have Alhana (silent h) Tatum, Mike and Sophia. I like how they seem to mesh well

I was reading this thing about names, okay it was actually a side story in another story Razz the guy in the book was complaining about things people name there kids and how they should watch what the monogram looks like.

some of his where colton oscur willams (cow) and peter ignius gramh (pig) and my DH was like i don't see whats so bad about that they could just decorate there house in cow's like you did ( my kitchen is done in cows and red gingham .. it just happened, actually his mother did it to be mean but i went with it..)

so then he is off saying what if we made his (our babys) middle name Murlock..

he is so not even taking this serious our kid is going to end up with some "cool" name that a 12 year old would pick not a father..

I hear that about the 12 year old.. My SO's idea of picking a name was pretending it was being called in the NFL draft.. how mature. Not to mention since we are a multiracial family he thinks everything I suggest is "too white" and I think every thing he suggests is "too ghetto".. This should be interesting..LOL
