Anyone Swelling?
So, this also happened with my DD, but after i get home from the hospital I swell up terrible. It's more painful than my insicion. Feet huge, ankles huge, legs huge. Does anyone know how long til it goes down? Anyway to help get rid of it without drying up my milk?

Aww poor thing! Is it from the surgery or an allergic reaction? The only thing I can think of is to drink alot of water to flush your body...Sorry I'm no help...Hope it gets better soon!

I think it's from the surgery. I have a feeling it's from the IV. I don't seem to take to them very well, even though i drank a TON of water while I was in the hospital. The swelling stayed to a minimum while I was there.. although not great. But now that I'm home, I'm not drinking as much and I'm not sitting with my feet up all day so it's BAD. I guess I'll just have to wait for it to go down on it's own. Maybe I can ask Dominic's Pedi today. hehe I don't have my appointment til the 23rd and it better be gone by then!

I am swollen too. I am guessing its from the surgery. I was swollen all during pregnancy and now its just as much. My doc said walking will help it go down as well as fluids. All I kow is my feet are so tight its insane. Here is hoping our swelling goes away soon. I still cant wear my normal people shoes...

It is indeed from the surgery and the IV fluids...last time was worse for me, so if you had blood pressure issues your swelling will probably be worse. They told me in the hospital that it usually peeks around days 4 and 5 post surgery. Drinking plenty of fluids and peeing like crazy will help it go down...I want to say that last time it took almost two weeks for it to go completely away...this time mine wasn't so bad but took about a week and a half.
