Alexandra Rae has arrived!

Lexi decided to come 2 weeks early and was born at 6:15pm on October 1st weighing 7lbs 2oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She was originally going to be due by c-section yesterday the 14th! I can't believe she is 2 weeks old!

Pre-E decided to rear its ugly head and I got really sick 2 days before they took her. My BP kept going up and down and I had a migraine from hell. Morphine didn't even help!!! They ran a gazillion tests on me and had me see a neurologist, have an MRI and a cardiologist because of heart palpatations. I was in the hospital for a week.

Lexi decided to cause trouble right away (I think it was from the drugs and the magnesium) but developed a fever and was dehydrated so had to go to the NICU for 4 days. Thank God she was okay the whole time and I got to stay at the hosp. with her. The nurses LOVED her.

We are both finally home and doing great! She is such a sweetheart! I will try to post pictures soon.

I am so glad you and Lexi are ok now. Congrats on your little girl. I cant wait to see pics. NICU is scary I am so happy that it wasnt anything too serious.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am sure you are happy that you are both home now and settling in. Sorry to hear you had such a scary and hectic experience, but glad it all ended well. I can't wait to see pictures, I'm sure she is beautiful. I am jealous that everyone is already having their babies!!
