last night was burgers and tater tots...but I also had to make dinner for tonight as it is my double day, so I made baked potatoes, and steak tip kabobs...steak tips were marinated in italian dressing overnight and then grilled on scewers with button mushrooms, vidalia onions and green peppers.

DH is working late tonight so Dawson and I are having grilled cheese & tomato soup. Brenden is having pears & squash.

Nothing special for the grilled cheese and the tomato soup is just a can of campbells mixed with one can diced tomatoes and milk instead of water.

Joy you made my decision for me...meatloaf sounds so good! That's what's on our menu, meatloaf, mashed potato and probably chopped salad b/c I don't have any other fresh green veggie in the house right now.

Michelle, I never use a recipe but I'll tell you what I normally throw in there. I'm sure you can come up with a great recipe with what sounds like some great cooking you do.

I usually throw in some italian dressing (not too much b/c of the oil), onions, garlic, italian bread crumbs or oats, an egg, salt, pepper, then a little oregano, basil and parsley.

I'm not big on red sauces so I don't do any tomato sauce/paste, but you can in place of the italian dressing.

combine yellow cake mix (dry) with melted butter and 1 egg. shape into the bottom of pan and up the sides about 1/4"
beat together cream cheese, 2 eggs, and powdered sugar

So it was goulash with garlic bread tonight....tomorrow hamburger helper of some type... but meatloaf is in my near future I already told dh I am making it soon...Gotta wait for hamburger to go on sale as all I have is frozen meat...

Diana- Glad my cravings were of help to you Smile That butter cake just just yummy

Michelle- I don't use a recipe really just wing it(ie in my head lol) I should measure the stuff though next time I make it so I know...only bad thing about mine is I don't put onions in it because DH hates onions so I miss out on that flavor...basically its just ground beef...some people use half beef half pork crushed up saltine crackers(or some use bread crumbs) a few eggs(just to bind it together) salt pepper garlic powder and ketchup ( or some use tomato sauce) mix it all together and mold it into a loaf and bake or to make sure it stays together I use a bread pan to bake it in

Hi everyone! I am so happy to say that we are off our bland diet in my house! Yeah!

Night before last we had shrimp with linguini and a tomato, garlic & white wine sauce.

Last night I made Turke Chili (SO YUMMY) and we had tortillas with it.
Just get yourself a box of Carol Shelby's Chili Mixin Fixins and go to town.

Nate had rice cereal with 1/2 a jar of carrots and 1/2 a jar of bananas both nights. He LOVES the bananas mixed in with the cereal instead of on their own. Then follow with a 4oz bottle of formula (which he will probably only drink a little over 2 oz.

Tonight I cooked a roast in the oven (I might do that more often it was pretty good), parmesan smashed potatoes, and sweet corn. We also had some type of frozen rolls I had bought a few weeks ago. Brenden had peas, a tsp of beef, and pear.

I didn't get to make the meatloaf but all of your recipes sound fantastic!!! I'm hopefully going to get the time this weekend since I am still craving it! I also want to make a peach cobbler but I don't know if that's gonna happen with breathing treatments every 4-6 hours plus bottles, plus food, plus my other kiddo, and dh who is being a PITA and is about to get a nutkick.

Yesterday eve we ended up getting our weekly shopping done so we went to an Italian restaurant for dinner. I had torellini...it was GOOD!

Tonight we are having 2 of my sisters and BIL's over for corned beef, cabbage & potatoes. I found a recipe to grill the corned beef. It's a long process but sounds yummy.

I've had it grilled before and really like it but it will be the first time we try to cook it that way.
I like it traditional too so hopefully we don't disappoint ourselves.
