Tonight we are having pork steaks, fried cabbage and something else but I don't know what at this point. Maybe rice but that doesn't really go with cabbage.... Brenden is having green beans & apple blueberry.

I am so pissed. I had to throw away the pork steaks! When I opened the package the smell nearly knocked me over! I just bought them two days ago! I was already mad when I opened my pantry door earlier today....it wreeked in there....turns out the 5lb bag of Yukon Gold Potatoes I bought in the same shopping trip TWO days ago had mold everywhere! Then when I cut into the cantalope while trying to figure out what we were going to eat tonight....1/2 of it was bad! WTH? That's $12 in spoiled food! Anyway I'm making chicken fried rice, egg rolls (frozen kind) and steamed veggies....not what I wanted.

Do you still have your receipt? If so, I would go back to the store and complain! I don't know about pork, but the cantaloupe and potatoes should not be moldy after 2 days! And even if you don't have your receipt, I would still go to the customer service desk at the store and let them know!

Oh I so agree with Elise I would be furious and would march right back to the store even with products in hand and demand a refund....

Yeah I wouldnt put up with the crappy food either. I would also be tempted to not go back to that store again if they didnt rectify the situation. Grrr - new spoiled food...

Last night was a frozen TV dinner at 9:15 PM. It was Thi chicken with noodles and peanut sauce.

Yea, it really sucks because HEB is my favorite store....until this mess. I called the manager today and he was a prick. Definately not what I expected from HEB management.

Anyway, tonight we are ordering pizza and bringing our new tv console in from the garage and putting everything on it.

Michelle, that's terrible especially so many things in one trip.

We just had homemade pizza pepperoni & Italian sausage for a late lunch/early dinner. DH has to go to school so we wanted to eat beforehand.

OH no pizza for me. I had 4 mini burgers from Market Street. They are smaller than White Castles. So its like I had 2 white castles and a fudge bar.

We had lasagna Hamburger helper..... Not sure about tomorrow right yet... I forgot to add to my post from yesterday to Michelle..the Yukon gold potatoes taste super yummy but they don't have a very long shelf life like reg white potatoes... I mean they should have lasted for longer than 2 days though...but just figured I would add that..sorry the manager was such a jerk..maybe there is a higher office you can report him to? If he is acting like that about spoiled food being sold in his store maybe they should boot him out of management and get someone in there that will be more courteous to the customers...after all the customer is always right!!! LOL.

Last night, the big kids had mac and cheese (easy mac for rayna and box of mac and cheese spirils for jeremy), logan had carrots and applesauce. I eventually had some leftover chicken.

Tonight, my parents are coming over, so it's whatever they bring! Smile

Ya'll aren't gonna believe this. I don't know what is going on with food and my family. I ordered the Pizza Hut last night at 4:40 and it wasn't here at 6:45 even though they told me it would be here right around 6pm. I called to find out what was up and the manager said "lady I only have 2 drivers and 17 orders so you're just gonna have to wait your turn". WTF? TWO HOURS had gone by! Anyway, I cancelled the order and Tony went to Sonic. So, we are gonna try for pizza again tonight, but from PapaJohns, and if anything happens we are never eating out again and I'm gonna buy a cow and grow a garden....I'm sick of rude managers and poor quality.

Michelle, your having some terrible luck on the food front. We had PapaJohns last week. I really like their pizza better that Pizza Hut. Isn't it amazing if you did your job like that you wouldn't have a business.

Tonight we're having burgers and fries or thick-cut fried potatoes.

Last night we supported our local fire dept at their roast beef dinner, it was yummy. Today is my double day, but DH is off so instead of me cooking something and reheating, he is making chicken parm, having dinner at home with the girls and when they are done they will bring dinner to me.

Last night we ordered pizza 'cause there was no way I was cooking anything nor going out!

Tonight - who knows! I'll figure it out either before going to the grocery store, or while i'm there!

Joy- it was so nice, we only work with one dispatcher on so we don't get "breaks" technically it is against the law...we will soon be pushing the issue in our new contract negotiations.

Tonight DH has to work really late...like 8am to maybe 10pm because he has to stay to do inventory, I feel so bad for him. So McKenna and I will just have fish sticks and french fries.

Last night we had Wendy's Spicky Chicken Sandwiches at 1:45 AM. Who knows what will happen tonight. It may be a fend for yourself, DH has to pick something up kind of night. If our house doesnt get healthy I may never cook again!

Kim that's awesome that you got to go home and eat dinner with your family!!!

Last night I made pulled pork in the crockpot with coleslaw and fresh pineapple. Tonight is catering night and we are having grilled chicken w/mango salsa, roasted brocolli, and garlic bread. Old fashion sugar cookies for dessert.
