So excited to be here!
Hey! Thanks for creating this place! I'm so happy to have the availability of support since BBC is goin down the drain. Glad to be here! I'm Bekah! And you all are?
Re: So excited to be here!
I think so far it's just myself.. Michelle and Kim ( K~Momma) that are signed up. I was on the October board for a while but kind of lost touch and I always get to feeling bad when I do to many ME posts so I just kind of lurk.
Let me know if you have any suggestions for making this place any better.. I'm working on putting up some other sections just so it doesn't look so plain..LOL

don't sweat it! most of us have gotten to the point that we don't do that many personals, unless we get on EVERY day(i noticed this a couple days ago). Because so many posts rack up that you don't want to make one post to EVERYONE that takes up the whole page lol. And this seems much better because you can quote people (as seen above ). So now we don't have to go write everything down, we can just quote people and respond that way! woohoo! I'm so happy that you did this. Yay Michelle!
Re: So excited to be here!
aww thanks michelle, I need to take a new one. But your little puppy is real cute too! ^_^ so adorable!
Re: So excited to be here!
So here's a question.. sorry if it's been brought up on the other board already.
Have you ladies started washing the baby's clothes yet? I'm totally scared to wash them!! I guess I'm scared he won't be a boy and then I'll be stuck with all these clothes. I keep buying them, but I think the only ones I'm going to wash before hand are the ones that are hand me downs, unisex or garage sales stuff.

Re: So excited to be here!
Michelle - I totally hear ya on the being scared to wash stuff...i was like that with DD, probably because we didn't know what the gender was...this time we found out and he keeps flashing, so I'm going to start washing the clothes that I have from DS and the gender-neutral ones from DD this week. That way I'll know exactly what I have. I would stick with your gut and not wash anything new until after the baby is born....it gives you more options, but at least you'll have some clothes ready! Just my opinion!
I can't believe that I'm only 24 days away from my LO being here...I am SOOO ready for this to be done....now if all these weird dreams would just go away....

Re: So excited to be here!
24 days.. I'm jealous. I haven't gotten my date yet, as I'll probably have a repeat c/s but I'm probably looking at at least 5 1/2 weeks. But I'm ready as heck too. Although I have to admit, I'm not as uncomfortable this time as I was with DD. ( I hope I didn't just jinx myself).
I should have anothe u/s in about two weeks so I'll be asking them to peak for sure. Then I'll start washing. LOL
And on the dreams.. ugh me too. I had a bad water breaking dream the other night. Very interesting. And last night one about DD's daycare.

Re: So excited to be here!
I haven't washed anything because I haven't bought anything...okay I lied, two outfits...as we are having another DD so I have all of her clothes.
Tweetie (and this is Elise, right) when is your date...are you being induced or is it another section?
I have exactly 30 days to my repeat c-section...I am not complaining if she wants to come before.

I dunno Michelle, you never know where the other clothes have been. you know they sit in boxes in warehouses and stuff, although I think they are wrapped in plastic, but.. you just never know. Plus sometimes you end up with somebody's returned baby clothes or something, and you just never know where they've been. I washed all my new ones because the woman that gave me her hand-me-downs washed all hers before she got them to me. I also washed all the sheets and blankets he'll be using. Just in case, ya know...
Re: So excited to be here!
Bekah - Oh yea... I agree. I'm totally going to wash them. I just haven't started yet and I'm afraid for some reason my little guy won't be a guy. LOL Although it's getting really close it's like it's still not totally reay yet.
Re: So excited to be here!
Hi Everyone,
I just found my way over here. I have had a busy weekend and havent been able to get online until now. I should be asleep but this LO has different plans for me tonight. Its now Nathaniel's disco-rama and I am suffering slightly from insomnia. We also gave the last of the Benedryl to the dog so here I am waiting to feel tired enough to fall asleep. I guess that is all for now. I am also going to go and post on the other board. I am glad there is a new place for us to come. Thanks for setting this up Michelle. Oh and I am glad to see you back.

Tweetie (and this is Elise, right) when is your date...are you being induced or is it another section?
It's another section - scheduled for Thurs Sept 25 -- I was induced with my DS because my water broke and I wasn't in labor - wasn't even dialated a centimeter and I was at 39 wks -- not fun at all - then DD was a c-section since I had 3x the amount of fluid and when my water broke she floated all the way back up and she was big so they were afraid she'd get stuck...so, since I have GD this time, they wanted to schedule a repeat section at 39wks which is fine...it's kinda nice knowing the end date, but at the same time, I know the end date so I'm counting down.....

Re: So excited to be here!
I think I've finally decided to have another section too. I was really going back and forth for a while about it. But now, I'm just kind of over it. I still feel like there are pluses and minuses for both, however what I really wanted to avoid was doing "both". Laboring and pushing just to end up having a section. I'm hoping I'll get my date at my next appointment.. and I'm super hoping that it's for 39 weeks like Elise's. That would mean just 5 weeks left.
Re: So excited to be here!
I am gonna have to start reading the role call board first!!! Since no one is signing their names and I think some of your screen names are different...then again I could be loosing it!!!
Amy, at least I think it is you...I love that picture.

Re: So excited to be here!
They wanted to schedule me "just in case" and I was kinda leaning towards a repeat section anyway -- too scared of a VBAC....this way, I'm also having a tubal which DH is happy about since he would get the big V but is kinda scared of having it done...which cracks me up because this is the guy who when he had his LASIK done wanted to know if he could watch them put the laser in his eye and was upset that he couldn't see more at DD's section! Go figure!!

Re: So excited to be here!
My doc mentioned something about Joseph measuring 2 weeks ahead and that she would induce at week 39 if my cervix was ripe. I am so scared I am going to end up with a c-section. I know it won't kill me, but I've never EVER had any surgery and I sure as heck don't wanna start now! lus I know you have to wait to actually hold the baby for a while and I'm an impatient little brat. *sigh* I don't want a c-section.
Re: So excited to be here!
What is the average "early" they do for repeat sections? My 2ND DD was at 38 weeks, then due to personal issues at the time my DS was 37.4 weeks.

Re: So excited to be here!
I'm not sure what the average is.. I was thinking it was 39 weeks.. but I would be really excited if it was 38!
Re: So excited to be here!
Not sure what the average is but my doc told me 7-10 days before my due date. So possibly 38, 39 weeks???

C sections
[color=indigo]early would be great! I am having a repeat C section and I would love to be done I have 47 more days so 6 1/2 weeks till my due date (Oct. 19). I swear I am not going to make it that far this is too much for me...lol This is my third and the baby is low and my pelvis hurts like never before (sorry TMI) but I didn't even know they do it early!!! that would be awesome!!! I am going to ask my doctor about it I have an appt on monday with a sono to check weight of baby since I managed to put on 5 pounds in 2 weeks. my last was 9 1/2 pounds so watching that weight. I am to the point anything to get this over with. I know I should be more concerned about the baby but he is fine I am just not!...lol not to mention my blood pressure has been 140's/90's which my norm is 110's over 60's so I am not used to that either.

Eileen - I had no idea you were from Leander.. We're Neighbors! I actually live in the Round Rock/Pflugerville Area but tend to just say Austin because at least people know where it is.
My blood pressure has been a little high, but at my last appointment it was actually back down to normal. I was thankful, but like you I'm just ready to have this being pregnant business overwith.
What hospitol are you going to deliver at?
