I weighed myself mon morn 228... 1 # down.

Joy, I don't want to offend you b/c 'to each his own' but IMO...don't be jealous. I have a friend that did that and she had no difficulties and I would rather be overweight than to be in her shoes. She still loves food but if she eats something she shouldn't she's sick....if I eat something I shouldn't I gain some weight. I've seen her want something so badly she will chew it and spit it out just to taste it. Also, the weight wasn't the only thing making her unhappy....she's still an unhappy person just a smaller one. Seriously, I had always said 'i wish i could do that'... but after watching her unless my life depended on it I wouldn't do it.

my sister eats sugar stuff and she does not get sick the only thing she cannot have for at least 6 months is soda pop because it will expand her pouch..But you are right no point in being jealous its not gonna change my weight....But I wish it was not so hard to lose weight...

i don't think my GF has guidelines especially now b/c it's been about 5 years but she still will get sick if she eats just the slightest bit too much or too much fat...and sugar doesn't work well for her, she can do small amounts.
i personally just don't think the gain outweighs the pain.

I have not been doing to well either Elise and Kristen so don't beat yourself up too much it is a struggle more often than easy..

Hi, i'm new and would love to jump in...

I am trying to lose atleast 10kgs hopefully before xmas, so we can then start trying for baby number 2.
Since the birth of my little girl who is almost 2, I have lost 30kgs (66lbs) and my weight currently stands at 101.8kg (223.86lb) - weighed myself this morning.

U'r more than welcome to join in.... we are kind of hit and miss but post most weeks. great job on 66lbs....

this morning...only 4 days late I was at 225.5. when i started this i wanted to be at 200 before our family lake trip which is at the end of this month. i knew i was being slightly unrealistic but i sure hope I'm out of the 220's by then.

Weight loss can be so frustrating at the best of times, but i think sometimes we do tend to place alot of pressure on ourselves. My weight has been at a stand still for over 6mths....its like i'm at that 100kg barrier wall - can't seem to knock out a brick!
For me right now its mainly mental barriers and lack of motivation.

I'm caught between wanting another bubs and being scared to fall pregnant - haha...loopy i know.

This morn it's 1lb up.... 226.5. We were BADDDD this weekend.

Elise, thanks, i've done the atkins before and I just couldn't do it again, that's why we tried southbeach, which is similiar but different. Seriously we've been more successful this time b/c we're not killing ourselves with it and for me b/c DH is doing it too. Really we've cut out sugar and just white starches (so we still have whole grain wraps & bread) and we really try to stick to it but we don't beat ourselves up when we don't.
Of course I want it all off right now but if it takes a year then hopefully I'll ride it out.

Well I know I am a few days late with my weight check in I weighed myself tonight and the scale said 246.6... I think I may have dropped some because I was outside today mowing our lawn area and the other two tenants lawns. The one don't have a mower....so I agreed to mow for them then the other tenant just moved out and left behind like 7-8 inch grass in their yard...that took forever to do I had to mow over most areas twice because there was just so much grass that one pass with my mower was not able to cut it all that and I think I need my blade sharpened or maybe even replaced..Then after I mowed the grass I was cleaning out the garage from stuff they left behind...I should do this more often I think because just this morning I was 249.4,,,3 lbs down in a day....Hopefully it stays down and not jump back up. alright enough rambling I'm off to bed Jeremiah finally fell asleep
