Kim- Thats great news!!
Amy-Your poor Dh!! LOL at the spoon gag! "OMG like gag me with a spoon!" ha ha ha!!! Luc hates peas too!He didnt even need the spoon to gag himself.LOL None of my kids liked the peas and merely tolerated the green beans...
MichelleL- Thats fantastic news about your DH!!! I'm so happy for you guys!!
AFM- Well so far no one else had what ODS had on Friday...He was fine by dinner time and even wanted to eat dinner and while I was a bit weary about feeding him(especially McDonalds)anything heavy he swore he was fine and he ate and was fine...So strange...He's gotten sick 3 times puking in the last month and no one else has been sick(knock on wood)...Could this be a dietary thing?Luc has been waking up more the last few nights...Although last night he woke crying everytime he woke up and today I noticed he was grabbing at his ears when he started crying so will have to watch that...Well all it did here was rain this weekend so even though it was nice and warm I couldn't get out because of the weather...Ugh...

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Elise - That is amazing and strange that your scar just opened up! I'm glad you are getting it taken care of right away! My sister had an ectopic back in the early 90's and her friend's little boy kicked her right in the stomach about 2 weeks after and she opened back up.....my mom had to go over to her house and pack it with gauze everyday for several weeks. She was entirely open though....
Kim - Your DH will sleep so much better with the CPAP! I only hope you can sleep with the loud noise....it would put me to sleep like a baby!
Amy - The gag me with a spoon is freaking hilarious!!! LOL!
Are they just doing random lay-offs are going thru a planned lay-off phase? I think it's wrong when they just randomly lay off people. Atleast when it's planned you know when it's over! I know it's hard seeing these people lose their jobs....
Shannon - Dear God please don't let Luc have ear infections! It's time for your family to be completely well for atleast a solid year....ya'll have paid your dues!
AFM - Thank you all for the well wishes on DH's job! I was trying to be positive about the possibilty of lay-off but honestly I was about to flip out! Knowing we only have one income and I can't just go back to my job considering I SOLD IT really had me on edge. Thankfully we were blessed.... Brenden has been doing well sick. He's never really passed into the yuck stage...he's stuck at stage "I don't feel good" stage and I hope this is as bad as it gets! Today I am tired, but I don't know why since I got 8 hours of solid sleep last night....Brenden woke early at 11:30 to eat and then slept until 8am this morning! *SHOCKING* We are hanging around the house and I'm going to finish my cleaning from last week. Ya'll have a good Monday!

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Michelle - It was totally random. We never know when its going to happen or to who. It comes in spurts around here. We are a small company so its 2 people here, 5 people there, one over this way - Never really knowing when you last day will be. Its really kind of scary.
Oh and I am so happy your DH is still employed. This is historically one of the highest unemployment rates we have ever had in this nation. It SUCKS!
DH is much better today. He is back at work but feeling like he may actually be able to have lunch and not have " a situation" on his hands.
Shannon - I am glad your older 2 DSs are feeling better. Hopefully Luc wont get an ear infection. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Elise - I am sorry everything is opening back up again and you are having to go to all these doctors. Good for you for going and getting it taken care of as soon as possible.
I am at my desk eating lunch right now so I thought I would drop in real quick. I have been up front with the lady who was laid off. She is coming in all week to help me learn her position and know what I am supposed to be doing once she leaves. UGH how stressful and sad.
DH decided to turn down the job from the Netherlands. I am happy about that. They arent good about giving notice for things. Like they wanted DH to go to the Netherlands this week. They just sent him an email about it yesterday... Not really enough time. That and he doesnt want to be back in the oil industry. He likes flight simulators too much.
I guess that is about it for now. Back to work I go!

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Shannon, GIRL!! I hope everyone gets better. You're definitely due for a break.
Michelle, so glad to hear about DH's job, that is wonderful news. Sounds like you got some good sleep too.
Kim, glad DH got everything figured out and agreed to the machine. It has to be worth a good night's sleep. I've known a couple people that use them and I'm like Michelle the sound of the machine would put me right to sleep. I like a little steady noise in the background.
Amy, sorry you had to lose another person. we went thru some at my office too and what can you say about them piling work on you when you're just thankful you're still there.
Elise, glad they're getting you taken care of, the appts are such a hassle but well worth it.
Joy, Glad to hear your rash is fading and your almost done with the meds.
AFM: Well, we had the appt and they had to re-cath her for the urine sample. It took 3 tries b/c she was pushing against it so hard and they won't force it, which I was thankful but then she peed 2x outside the cath so we had to give her a little time. She was so good. Everytime they would stop and she would just smile and gabber at them. Then after it was done she got her rotavirus and shots and I haven't seen a smile since.
So we have to wait 48hrs to see if the UTI is gone but I'm sure it is, she's a different baby, and then we go Monday to Children's Hosp for the other test.
Something is definitely working for her, feeling better, zantac & solids, she gained 1 pound in 3 weeks. I'm so excited she's up to 13-2.
Talk to you ladies later...she's a fussy baby now and she's summonsing me.
OH..and I got out of jury duty, didn't even have to reschedule!!!

Nice Diana!!Good to hear that little miss Aubrey is feeling better! Hopefully she will stay on the path that she's on and do much better and continue gaining weight.
Amy- That's gotta be hard working with the woman who was laid off...I'm impressed that she's coming back in to help. When I was laid off I continued to do what I had to for the rest of the month but I sure didn't go above and beyond.
Kim- Forgot to mention that my MIL has a CPAP machine but she refuses to wear the thing...She insists that sleeping sitting upright in the chair works just as well...Crazy woman!
AFM- So Luc pooped...Exciting news right? No I mean he POOPED!!!!!!!!! I gave him a bath this morning and fed him and put him to bed...He woke up about 30 minutes later crying!! So I went in and picked him up...No cooing or happy kicks, just a snuggly, sad little guy.I held him to me and then he started to poop.Didn't seem like much until I changed him.I lifted his tush up higher, and higher, and higher until the poor guy was just about doing a head stand. He had pooped all the way up to the back of his neck!!! I'm giggling now as I write about it but geez at the time I was like "OMG!!!"... Bet he feels better now after that...

Diana- I love the new picture in the siggy!!! So cute!
Michelle and Shannon- Dh said it was a newer model, and it was very quiet, no louder than a fan, which he sleeps with on anyway.

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Hey Ladies!
It's been a hectic few days here. Correcting school papers- assessments that have to be given- are kicking my butt. I just can't keep up with everything! So sorry the personals won't be long today. I'm trying to do this quickly because it's a rainy day dismissal and the bus numbers are being called, so I can get this in here and there.
Kim- I'm so so sorry about your dog. I know this happened last week, but I haven't been on. Also glad dh will wear the mask! Question for you- does dh work in Westerly? I swear I was driving on Sat. with dh and I looked to the side of the road and in front of a business was a man that looked exactly like the man in your pics. standing with two other guys. I hope this doesn't sound creepy- but I saw the man and kept saying he looked familiar and then it dawned on me I thought it was your dh!! Maybe not though.
Michelle- So glad to hear your husband's job is safe! How scary! Glad they are fixing everything with you!
Elise- Glad they are looking into everything, hope it all heals like it should!
Diana- Sorry they had to recath Aubrey! Yay on the weight gain!! I too love that new pic.!!
Shannon- Man! I hope everyone is feeling better!! I bet you can't wait for the warm weather to come!
Amy- Sorry to hear you are swamped at work!! Glad your job is safe though! Hope dh is feeling back to normal!
Joy- Hope your rash is feeling better today, glad it's starting to go away!
AFM- Well Maddie had her first sleepover at my parents' house this weekend! She did really well. I on the other hand kept texting and calling my mom to check up on her and my mom finally told me to stop calling and have fun! We did have a good time. We went to a local casino- Mohegan Sun for dinner, some drinks and a very little gambling! She is sleeping better, not as good as she was for a while but she was going at least 7 hours before waking up so I figured it was a good time to try a night. Dh and I missed her though!! Then last night I gave her a bath and put her naked on two towels to air dry because she has a bad rash and didn't want her peeing on the carpet. Well I turned to grab something on the counter and looked back and she had rolled off of her back onto the carpet! I was mortified! We keep things clean but we also have two dogs that go on that carpet. It wouldn't have been so bad if she wasn't completely naked! On top of this, this was her first time rolling off of her back and I missed it by turning my back on her for like two seconds. I've been waiting for like a month now, she would get 3/4 of the way over and then go back on her back! She's been rolling off her tummy since she was 5 weeks, so I was just waiting on this way! Anyways go figure! There have been times I've started to tape her or get the camera ready because she was close to it and it never happened!!
Well hope everyone has a great night!
Kristen

Eileen, that is neat, and it is cool for a girl to be a good shot.
We've been battling the UTI but think its finally gone. That is what the Dr appt was for today they took a urine sample and sent it off. As long as she's clear of it then Monday she has that VCUG and u/s. The Dr has her staying on the antibiotics until Monday to be sure she stays clear so we can get this all over and done. I'll just be glad to know what's up.

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Just a quick post before off to bed - things have been crazy around here lately and will be getting even crazier pretty soon! I go Monday to the wound clinic, so we'll see what they have to say about the incision and then back to the dr at the end of the month for a follow up. Hopefully nothing drastic!
Sorry - too tired to do personals - hope everyone is doing well!! Or at least better! I am so ready for spring! We had the craziest weather today - it was raining, and then it was snowing to the point that the grass was covered, and then it started raining again and then stopped completely. It made the saying true for New England - "wait 5 minutes and the weather will change"!!

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Just a few random personals
Diana- I love the new siggy picture of Aubrey she is so cute!
Kim - That's good that he will be able to use the CPAP. I am sure it will definitely be a change to sleep and not hear loud snoring. lol My sister I think is supposed to be using one of those but she does not. And her snoring is just unbelievable it scared me when I was down there visiting the one time.
Kristen Sorry thing are keeping you super busy here's hoping the workload slows down for you soon. It's good to get a break now and again...Helps keep a mommy sane.
Amy- that is horrible to have to see people being laid off in an economy like this... thank God though you are keeping your job.. and good to hear DH seems to be all better.
Shannon- I am glad no one else has caught the sickness your ds had here's hoping Luc was just pulling at a new found toy and does not have an ear infection as you Really do need a break from dealing with sicknesses in your home. That was one enormous poopy mess...
Elise I hope too that it is nothing really serious.
Michelle That's good that Brendan is still sleeping pretty well even when not feeling completely up to par...
AFM- We not alot is new here really. Other than Jeremiah has been up later than the normal last feeding at 1 or 2 am..Hope this ends soon... and my rash is almost completely gone. and it does not itch as much. I am so thankful for that....I am talking Faith in for the skin breakout she has had for awhile it is not contagious but it looks like it has spread on her it used to be only one spot on her foot now it runs up her leg and on the other leg and a spot on her hand. Dr said it was some fungal thing a year or so when I took her and gave cream but most of that gets rubbed off anyways gonna see if she has a liquid form or can direct me to a dermatologist who has more training in that area.. It seems like sometimes she wakes up at night crying outta no where and holding on to her foot or leg in the exact spot of the break out. She has an appt Thurs for that..I hope it is not something worse that what it was to have been thought to be though...

Kim- That is so funny! We were going by and I wasn't really paying attention. I saw three guys out there, I didn't even notice the sign!!! I just saw his face and kept thinking he looked familiar! Actually weird because I'm just used to seeing pics. of everyones families!
Well, no time for other personals sorry. I have to call GEICO. I hit an ice patch with my new van backing out of my parents house a few weeks ago and with this last snow storm. Dh's uncle pushed the snow with a snowblower up against my car and it caved in the crack. So now I need to get it fixed which sucks! Plus I've had a morning. Spilled my coffee, Maddie woke up late and wouldn't eat, and dh called his glasses were in my car and he needed them. I had actually been early before all of this. Then I dropped Maddie off to my SIL house and went down the road. I looked at the time and then realized I forgot to tell her something and was thinking about where my cell phone was when low and behold I was getting pulled over by a cop! I hadn't realized I was speeding- not much but enough to be pulled over. I was all frazzled, I'm ALWAYS the freakin cautious one! Anyway I think the cop knew dh ( he works for the town highway dept. and knows most of them), plus I teach for the town. So I told him I was so sorry I was late for school, had to get dh his glasses and how dh was going to laugh at me b/c I'm always cautious. He told me not to get out my reg. He checked my license and told me I was all set- not even a written warning. Thank God. Then I get to school and lose my laptop! What a frickin morning!!
Hope you're all having a better one than me!

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Wow So Many Posts! I am going to try to do personals and I am sorry if I miss someone.
Diana - That new siggy pic is the CUTEST thing! I am so happy that the UTI seems to be gone!
Elise - That is a TX saying too. If you dont like the weather just wait 5 minutes. We are in the 80s today and wont get above something like the mid 50s for the rest of the week with lows in the 40s. Super crazy weather.
Eileen - I am not a big gun person either. I have only held a shot gun never a pistol loaded or anything. I think it would be fun to go to a range and shoot targets. My neighbor went to the range (during work hours mind you) wasnt paying attention to what he was doing and shot the end of his finger off! He had to explain that to his boss. What a goofus!
Kristen - I hope your day got better. I would have just wanted to crawl right back into bed and pull the covers over my head and wait until tomorrow!
Kim - My mom used a CPAP for a while for her apnea and it actually helped her loose weight. She was getting the right amount of oxygen and it somehow that helped her body process foods better and use her energy correctly. Then once she lost weight she didnt need the CPAP anymore. Have you heard any results yet? How did McKenna's ear recheck go?
Joy - I hope the Dr Appt for Faith goes ok. Let us know what they say. I hope its nothing serious and some meds will get it cleared right up.
Shannon - Here is hoping the puke party at your place has come to an end! That is so not the way you want to start your day. I hope its gotten better.
AFM - Here I am just running around like crazy trying to get all of the new stuff under control and stay up with my old responsabilities as well. Ugh this has been a week. Its only TUESDAY! I started my day out today by sleeping past my alarm by 35 minutes. Now I feel queezy my stomach hurts, I have a headache and I am hoping I didnt catch the stomach flu from my DH. I do not have time for the flu! That and I would have to quarantine myself from Nate and the thought of that makes me want to cry! I am just hoping he hasnt already caught it and it is still developing in him and is just waiting to show itself.
I have a question on baby foods. Ok everyone I hear from says dont feed the baby fruits before you feed veggies because the baby will never eat the veggies if they have fruit first. So is this in the same meal? Or is this make sure you introduce baby to all veggies before introducing a fruit? How long do I have to wait before letting him have bananas? He has tried carrots, sweet potatoes and peas. We still have some squash and green beans to try... What do you guys think?
I guess that is it for now. I am about to leave here for the day. WaHoo!
Take care!

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Amy - As a general rule of thumb they say to let the baby try all veggies before starting on the fruits but I've never done that with either child. If he's already had sweet potatoes and carrots I don't see how it will make a difference since carrots are deliciously sweet and the sweet potatoes taste like pie to me! LOL! Anyway, it's up to you! The most important thing is to make sure you wait atleast 3 days to introduce something new so you can look for food allergy symptoms! I bet Nate just loves his food!!!!!!!!!

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Amy- I too had heard that about loosing weight and the CPAP correlation...I think DH's Dr was the one to tell me. The surgical supply company that rents the machines called today to go over the costs...it will end up being like $25 out of pocket the rest is covered by insurance. The respitory therapist is supposed to call soon regarding actually setting him up with the machine. McKenna's ear re-check didn't go as well as I hoped, she still has fluid on her ears but no infection, which is good and bad, obviously the infection being gone is good but the fluid sucks cause if she gets a cold or anything like that she will most likely end up with ear infections again. When I go for Landree's 6mo apt next month they are going to check her ears again. There is a possibility of tubes in her future, especially because she won't take meds....and in reality if she is going to get chronic ear infections I would rather do the tubes than multiple rounds of antibiotics which she could become immune too.
also I have never read that much into the fruits before veggies thing either...I did a couple of veggies before I went for some fruit. Like someone said the biggest thing is the 3 day wait in-between introducing something new to be able to check for food allergies.

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Morning All - So so far I dont have the stomach flu! YEAH! I do have a wicked cold with a sore throat and absolutely no voice left. yeah.... That is better than the alternitive I guess. I really had to thank my son this morning for sleeping through the night. I did get up around 3:30 to check on him because he was making some noise but he was just being a noisy sleeper. Hooray!
No time for personals right now I have to go and get into a meeting here in about 10 minutes. Bah! Its a cold rainy day here. Hi is in the 40s and it is just raining cats and dogs. What a hard day to get out of bed.
I will check back later - Take Care!

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Kim, I'm glad McKenna's infection is gone but that's a bummer about the fluid. I'll keep my fingers crossed it clears up.
Amy, I heard veggies before fruits too. Aubrey got bananas first though b/c they are a binder and she need that with her antibiotics.
Since then though, I went back to the veggies and have stuck to them. BUT...the bananas first did not affect her eating her veggies. This week she'll be done with all veggies and we're on to fruits.
Hope you feel better.
I'm missing lots of personals.... good morning to everyone, hope you all have a good day.
AFM:I'm in a funky mood...I've been kind of crabby. DH has been on my nerves some but I think it's me more than him. I was wide awake at 2:30 this morn and Aubrey woke up at 3 so I fed her (DH offered) but then I couldn't sleep. I went back to bed at 5 but didn't fall asleep til almost 6, when I should be getting up then overslept til 7:10. I'm supposed to be at work at 8, that didn't happen, so I'm just BLAH.
I have a night out tonight and I'm looking fwd to it.

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Not nothing new here. Kim I really do hope the fluid clears up in her ears soon..but I do agree having tubes in the end is more a good thing than a bad thing esp if she does not like getting the meds.... Hard to believe all our little ones are quickly approaching the 6 month mark soon...this has went by too fast.
Amy- glad to hear you do not think you have the flu....
Diana I hope you had an awesome girls night out and that tomorrow(well technically its past midnight so today) is a better start of to your day.. I know when you start the day off a bit crummy it tends to ruin the chances of a good day.
Well in about 12 hours I ll be taking Faith to the dr about the rash or whatever it is she has..here's hoping the can give me definite answer and liquid meds and if not refer me to someone who can..Speaking of rashes mine is gone except for a tiny spot on my one side of my tummy..yay!!!!!

Joy- where is her rash? I must have missed it. Glad that you are doing better and hope she makes out well.
Diana- I hope you enjoyed your girls night out!
AFM- today is my hangover day, at least that is what I feel like. This day always kicks my butt...I work a 3 on 3 off rotation. On day one of my rotation I work from 7am to 11pm, that was yesterday, and day two of my roation I work 7-3pm, that's not to bad but after working a 16 hour shift the day before, only getting to sleep a little before coming back in at 7am kicks your hiney...DH calls it my grumpy day! LOL

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Kim, that sounds rough....
Joy, hope everything goes ok for Faith, keep us posted.
AFM: Had a nice evening out. I was home at 9 and pooped, which is such a riot! But, we had a Mexican dinner and a few cocktails.
We've postponed Aubrey starting on her fruits until Sun or Mon b/c I'm changing her formula. I didn't ask the Dr but I am sure she HATES that soy formula. She didn't have an allergic reaction to the milk based she just wasn't gaining weight and she was pooing alot. BUT she didn't gain alot of weight on the soy either. Anyway, I started this morning with 1/2 soy and 1/2 gentle-ease and we're going to work it to full gentle-ease over the weekend. The first bottle that was mixed she drank all 3 oz without any resistance. Here's to hoping it continues.

Re: March Lions and Lambs
Dr's office just called and Aubrey is completely rid of the UTI and ready for the more extensive testing on Monday...WOOHOO! We can finally find out if there's something going on in there.
We will be keeping her on the Amox. until the testing to be sure she stays clear.
