Amy- Hope Nate is feeling better! Gotta love being puked on! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for no more ear infections!

Elise- Sorry to hear Logan's not feeling good. Hope the fever goes down.

Diana- Yay for dh's new job! I'm so glad everything is going so quickly with Aubrey's appts. You said she didn't have teeth right? Was she able to eat those mums or whatever they are called? I wanted to get them for Maddie but was nervous!

Michelle- Glad the glasses were only $50, that was cute about Dawson! I'm with you on the cranky baby- Maddie is just not herself lately! Good luck at the dr. appt. Anyone's better than that jerk!! Hope you get your mama first this time. I've been trying to show Maddie the bottle when she says baba- I must look like an idiot. She says it over and over so hopefully she'll start with more soon!

Eileen- Yay for the tooth! Hopefully things will get better with the cpap machine!

Joy- You couldn't have said it any better about this group! It's been so nice to share with others!

Hi to anyone I missed!

Well Maddie got cranky again last night and dh had a meeting, so it was a long night, especially since I was wiped from the first day back to school! But on a good note, she slept through the night- but she woke up at 6 when she usually gets up from 6:45-7:30ish, so it threw off my morning a bit. Otherwise, just feeling tired and it doesn't help with the crappy weather!

Hope you all have a nice day!

Morning Ladies,

MichelleL - That is so funny - I think the only way Dawson could be cooler is if they said he was Tiz-Ight! LOL! Those kids and their slang! LOL! Here is a big ol basket of luck for your appointment. Keep us posted!

Diana -As far as what to look for in teething EXCESSIVE drooling, Nate moves his jaw up and down like he is chewing when he is bothered by it. Also the white dots under the gums, puffy swollen places on the gums and maybe a low grade fever around 99. Oh and also maybe some mild crankyness. I am so happy your DH found a job! That is awesome! Congrats!

Joy - I really hope your DH finds something soon. I know that will ease a lot of stress. I have had you all in my thoughts and hope something comes soon.

Eileen - Someone should be able to find you another mask. They make different types and I know you arent the first one to feel that way when wearing one. Yeah for Daniel cutting his first tooth. Thanks for the support. Sometimes things just get a bit overwhelming with him being sick over and over again.

Elise - I am glad it seems weaining is going well. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to go as well and you can get back on your meds. You know my dryer does the same thing. I have dry it only on the timed cycle and I have to do 90 minutes twice to get anything dry. It takes FOREVER to get anything clean. Especially Jeans and Towels! Grr so aggrivating!
I hope Rayna's foot gets better soon. Its got to be hard being a kid and not being able to run around crazy.

AFM - I am back at work today trying to get caught up. DH is home with Nate. Last night was so hard! We had pukefest '09 and then he was such a grump. Just feeling rotten. He had a fever of 101.5 and it finally broke around 10. He woke up all sweaty and the house was perfectly normal temp. This morning after his bottle he seemed to be getting back to his happy self. He also had his first bloody lip last night. We were playing on the floor and he was sitting up well he fell over face first into the carpet and his new teeth split his lip open. I was so glad when DH got home. He took the baby long enough for me to go to the bathroom and when I got back Nate was asleep in his arms. I was happy, mad and jealous all at the same time. More happy that he finally got to sleep.

I guess that is it for now. I should get back to work and get all this stuff done.

Take Care!

Eileen, I hope you get u'r machine figured out. Yay for the teeth!!!

Elise, I hope Logan kicks that temp quickly for you and Rayna's foot starts feeling better soon.

Michelle, GOOD LUCK!! I hope she makes you feel more comfortable this time around.

Kristen, No, Aubrey doesn't have any teeth and she was fine with the mums. They dissolve very quickly. A couple times she got a small piece off but I believe it would dissolve before it could even get close to choking her. Once you see them, you'll feel more comfortable. If you're not comfy, they are foiled wrapped two to a package so they will last until you want to try again.

Amy, so glad Nate's fever broke, it's time for that lil booger to get better to stay!!! He would be in so much trouble with me around b/c of those cheeks. I say I already know I'm getting on Aubrey's nerves kissing her chipmunk cheeks...I can't help myself.
I think she has something going on in the top front but nothing on the bottom but she has the white bumps and it looks big to me.

AFM:I have so much work to get done this month and I'm so bad about motivating. I know I will be sorry next week at the end of the month when I'm dying and mad at myself b/c I procrastinated.
Also, I signed up for a March of Dimes walk this Saturday. It's supposed to be 80 here so Aubrey & I are doing a 3 mile walk. I think March of Dimes and my Children's Hospital are going to have to be my designated charities since one works to decrease birth defects and Aubrey has some and the other works so hard to make her better.

Not to many personals as I have lots to do, plus I have a wrist brace on for carpal tunnel and it makes it a pain in the ass to type. Anyway, we had a nice time...the bed was as hard as a rock at the hotel though so it was nice to get home, although the jacuzzi was heavenly.

Kristen- Landree has no teeth either and goes to town on the mum mum's. I checked walmart for them today as we don't have much left...they were all out and I was so pissed.

Elise- I don't think DH would have done well with the full face mask either...he has just the nose one, the biggest thing with that one is you have to keep your mouth shut when using it.

Kristen - I hear you on throwing your morning off. Nate can wake up just 10 minutes early and DH and I are thrown for the rest of the morning. Dont theese kids know we have a schedule! LOL! ;-) I hope Maddie is in a better mood today.

Diana - Ha ha ha! Funny you should say that about his cheeks. I kiss them constantly. Infact its so much that I can be holding him and just start making kissy sounds and Nate will put his cheek on my lips. Obviously I was trying to kiss him and just couldnt reach so he makes it easier for me. LOL! That is great that you two are doing the walk. That should be fun and healthy all at the same time!

Kim - I am glad you are back and that you had a nice time. The old saying always rings true - "Be it ever so humble, there is no place like home".

Oh and I meant to post earier too but forgot to type it out - I love my mommies! I dont know what I would do with out y'all. I feel close to you all. Infact I wish we could all meet up somewhere for dinner and drinks! Good Times! Seriously - You gals are the greatest!

Holy Mother the board is hoppin' again!!! LOL!

Elise - I sure hope Rayna's foot eases up soon! It stinks to have pain on something that is required if you want to walk....or really do anything! And a fever for Logan...good grief! LOL! I hope you catch a break soon!

Diana - Congrats on DH's new job!!! He should feel like he hit the lottery...there aren't many jobs to be had right now! I'd send you some motivation if I could, but I don't have much myself these days!

Eileen - They do have different things you can use for the machine! I hope you find something you really feel comfortable with.

Joy - You said what I was trying to say...only better! The words just weren't coming to me!!! I can definately understand about you and your DH having too much time together with him not having a job right now. When my grandpa retired he only stayed that way for a few months because he was driving my grandma nuts.....she banished him back to work so he started delivering auto parts for my uncle. I think it saved their 50+ year marriage! LOL

Amy - I hope Nate gets better soon! It does seem like he's been sick A LOT....maybe he isn't totally getting rid of it and it flares up??? He looks like such a fun kid, hopefully he'll get a break really soon!

Kim- the beds are hard as a rock so no one has to hear the "creaking"! LOL!!!! I'm so glad ya'll have a good time!

AFM - My appointment went WELL. I should have just gone back to her in the first place but I've always had my reservations. Anyway, after going over my options (doing nothing, taking the pill, merina, ablation, and taking my uterus out) I decided to do the ablation. She'll burn out the lining of my uterus and then tie my tubes. I'll be in one day surgery and out of commission for 2 or 3 days and sore for about a week. Compared to squirting blood or flooding all of the freakin' time having my uterus burned out sounds like a luxury. I'm going in for an u/s on Monday to check on the ovary full of cysts. She said if it's swollen (which is most likely causing my pain) or looks bad then she can just take it out also. I'm sitting here celebrating by eating 15 sweet tart jelly beans! LOL! I am so ready to be done with all of this! All of the luck ya'll sent me WORKED! I'm getting fixed....yea!!!!!!!!!

AMY- I have a hilarious puke picture with Jeremiah....the reason it is hilarious is because it was all over my dh and not me...lol I will have to upload it and post it soon...the first thing he said when I was gonna take a pic is "what you gonna take one so you can post it on that mommy board so they can get a good laugh from me being puked on?" Initially I had said no but I ve since changed my mind lol it is good got on his face shirt and hair...

Michelle- That is such a good observation of the reason for the hard beds in hotels...LOL taht was good I laughed out loud hehehehe

I can't remember the other posts right this minute...I may relook at em later and post on them if needed.

quick update - Logan's fever went up to 102, so we went into the dr's office - he has the start of an ear infection, so onto amoxocillin he goes! And since we were going, the dr looked at Rayna's foot again and is going to send us to us the orthopedist she spoke with yesterday. Hopefully I'll get a call from that dr tomorrow and get her in soon - like tomorrow!

Good Evening Ladies.

Joy- Chloe loves the mum mums. She gets excited when I open the package. That’s the only snack food I could find for her at lovely wal-mart.

Diana- I’m glad that they found out what’s going on with Aubrey and it’s something they can fix. My DS had two surgeries where his intestines twisted. The first time he was only a month old and they couldn’t explain why it happened. His appendix was on the wrong side of his body so they took that out. Well Again when he was 4 months old it happened again and they said it was caused by the first surgery. That time they had twisted so bad that a section of his intestines died. He was in the hospital for a week at a time with a tube feeding him and a central line and a bad scar to show. But he survived it and knock on every bit of wood in this world it hasn’t happened again!!! She could be teething it sounds like. Especially if she is doing that and chewing all over everything. YAY on DH getting a job!

Amy- lol I was reading your post about the swing music driving you crazy just as I was realizing I was wanting to kill Chloe’s swing. But sometimes it’s the only place she will nap for a bit. So for Chloe likes the mum mums. She likes anything she can hold and eat on. She grabbed my mt dew can today and I just wanted to see what she would do and she held it right up to her mouth getting ready to drink it before I stopped her. Then she took the spoon away from me last night and decided she had to feed herself. So I just put the Sweet taters and chicken on the spoon and she did it. She made a mess…but she did it lol. Yuck on getting puked on….yuck! Lol---I’m still catching up on your posts. I’m sorry Nate was feeling so bad last night. He was just having a bad day all around. Hopefully it will get better.

Michelle- Yay about the godfather….now sorry about everything else. I am so sorry that Brenden isn’t sleeping. Have you tried the teething tablets that dissolve in their mouth? those really help Chloe. When they are really bad…good ole Tylenol helps her sleep!!! And Dawson…OUCH. Lol about his friends thinking he is tight…that’s funny. ===I’m so happy you went to a good doc and they are going to get something done for you!

Eileen- I haven’t had an ultrasound yet!! That’s why I am so freaked out! I have it tomorrow!! Yay on cutting the first tooth.

Elise- I’m sorry you have so much going on! Hopefully everyone will get better soon.

AFM- Sorry if I missed anything or anyone…trying to catch up from yesterday. So I go for my ultrasound tomorrow. I am so nervous and so excited all at the same time. I have tried to let my fear go of the twins. I think everyone including myself just hyped me up there. Plus all these hormones. All I know is I am tired of being so sick and tired. I feel like I have been ran over by a mac truck. When I was pregnant with DS I felt great and was running around everywhere. With DD I worked in a busy ICU and never missed a step until about 9 months when i became exhausted. But now I can barely drag myself out of bed. Plus the all day sickness is trying to kill me, I swear it is.

Last night there were a lot of storms then a beautiful rainbow outside our door. I took a few pics if ya’ll want to check them out. Hope everyone has great sick-free hump day!

https://2img.net/h/i40.photobucket.com/albums/e220/jesscena/100_0511.jpg The rainbow was double rainbow, I don't know if you can tell in the picture. There was a lighter rainbow to the side of the bright one. Of course my DH playing on my fear of twins says "That double rainbow is a sign you know? How many double rainbows do you really see?" I slapped him and went back in the house! lol

https://2img.net/h/i40.photobucket.com/albums/e220/jesscena/100_0512.jpg A close up of the bright colors.

https://2img.net/h/i40.photobucket.com/albums/e220/jesscena/100_0513.jpg A pic of it extending over the trees.

kristen - i know how you feel about throwing mornings off, joey never sleeps the same time... ever. it's probably b/c we don't keep him on a schedule. And joey hasn't started cutting teeth either. he drools a good deal and he makes the chomping face like Amy was talking about but there aren't any buds or even swelling! I hope the weather clears up soon for ya, I like it, but i know some people don't like rain and storms and stuff.

Amy - poor nate. And poor you! sometimes i just put joey down and run to the bathroom real quick b/c i know he'll be fine when i pick him back up, but i really have to pee heh. Also, i think Nate must be the only baby on here with teeth so fast! Is it tough taking care of them? And just so you know, we love you too! Maybe someday soon we can get together and have a play date with our boys. seems like we keep talking about it, but we never exchange numbers or anything lol. Anyways, i am with you on loving this group. i don't know where I'd be without you guys!

Diana - it's so great that you are giving back to the community. Believe me, if I had ANY money or even an ounce of energy, i would totally be doing that stuff. Do u have to have other people sponsor your walk or do u pay for it?

Kim - I'm so sorry about the carpal tunnel. I didn't have full blown carpal tunnel, but remember when i neared the end of the preg I had to wear a wrist band cuz it hurt so bad! Also, where did you guys go? I haven't been on lately so I'm wondering! Smile

Michelle - and you talk about all that with such ease lol! Well you know how I look at it? You had two wonderful boys and your body waited til after your second to get its problems. I think both of your children are miracles. I mean, if this had happened during your pregnancy with brendan... omg i don't even want to think about it! I'm so glad you got your two precious gifts before this happened! Someday your boys will understand just how much they mean to you, more than they understand now. Smile look at me all sappy and such, anyway, I digress. I hope your surgery goes well and that you heal quickly. I'll be praying everything goes smoothly. Smile

Joy- lol EWW! now i have to check the fun pics thread. That is just priceless hahahaha!

Elise - oh my. I am sorry about Rayna's foot and Logan's ear infection. Is Rayna taking it well or is she miserable?

Tara - omg I would have punched my DH if he'd done that to me... the thought of twins freaks me out too. My DH doesn't think it's funny either. We watch these shows with multiples and wonder OMG how did they do that? I hope ur pregnancy is going well. Also, i am wondering why your doc thinks your older son has autism? Is it b/c of the seizures?

AFM - things aren't going very well. Joey is very good tho. He has been army crawling on the floor (i will have to post this video soon) and he's been smacking his lips together like he wants to munch on stuff already. lol which i laugh at b/c he has ZERO teeth and no signs of any coming in either! But my grandmother is now on hospice. She fell out of her wheelchair again last week and when she went back into the nursing home, my mom and aunt put her on hospice. she just seems ready to leave us. I am sad, but i have been preparing myself for this for a long time. My grandaddy cracked a couple of ribs a week or so ago riding his bike(he crashed) and is now in the hospital b/c of dehydration and his pain from the ribs healing. He will e okay tho. I am not getting ANY sleep and it's making me miserable. DH is trying to help out as best he can but i feel like i make life just so hard for him. UGH i hope i can fix this soon. unfortunately i might have to go to my dad for money to see a psychiatrist to get some meds for all this mess. Anyways, joey is asleep so i am going to go.

I'm going to add to what amy said and tell you girls that if it weren't for you guys, I would be a wreck right now, even more so than i am. I am glad you guys are here for me even when others cant be. Thanks for being my friends. Smile

Post by PolloLoco75 Tue Apr 21, 2009 11:25 pm

MichelleL- I am SO glad your appointment went well. There is a light at the end of this dark tunnel!

Eileen - I hope the antibiotics work quickly on little Logan. I know how these ear infections go. I hope he is back to his normal self soon.

Jessica - Good Luck with the U/S! Just relax and remember what ever will be will be. I know you are nervous and excited. Here is hoping for a healthy result and the rest is what it is! LOL! Hang in there girl and let us know how it goes.

AFM: Icing on the cake tonight. I got home from work and the house is HOT. DH had been home all day running the A/C and it wasnt cooling. I have a sick infant with bright red cheeks cuz he is hot and DH is grouchy cuz he is hot. I dont know if y'all remember but we got this new A/C when I was like 6 months pregnant. I had to stay home all day in the heat while they installed it. Not so Good Times. So I called the A/C company and have been waiting oh almost 4 hours for a technician to call me back. I am pissed. They will hear from me in the morning. I have already called them 3 times tonight. This is insaine! So luckily its cooling off outside and we have ceiling fans so tonight will be ok. If you have know Texas heat this would be so unacceptable if it were next month. Now the temp swings enough to keep things at least bearable. So another fun adventure. I guess I should go now. I am ready for my nice warm sleep.
Have a good night ladies!

Post by Guest Wed Apr 22, 2009 1:52 am

I just wanted to pop on real quick to let you all know that during dinnertime last night I discovered Jeremiah cut his two top middle teeth..they are both through the surface and you can feel the sharp edges...He is so cranky though and you can tell he is in pain..no matter what touches up on his top gum be it a bottle nipple a pacifier anything he cries because his gums are so tender...it is someone becoming ritual to orajel before his bottle..poor kid. And let me tell you he just hates the orajel because of the numbing feeling it gives..after the initial shock of numbing sets in he is good to go then. I will have to upload the PUKE PIC that I promised because I noticed Bekah posted she was gonna go check it out and it aint even there yet...so off to the fun pic thread to post my picture(well of course after I upload it to PB).

Quick update - last night was HORRIBLE!! Logan slept okay, but Rayna was up almost all night...and is still in so much pain! As soon as jeremy is on the bus, I will be calling the dr's office to see what they want me to do! This poor kid is in so much pain!! And the worst part is I can't do a damn thing for her!!!! Gotta go -she's screaming again -- oh , at least Logan's fever was normal this morning!

Bekah- sorry to hear about your Grandmother, it is very hard to let go of a family member. Just know that she will be in peace and no longer in pain when she decides it is her time to go. I go to the psychaitrist tomorrow for the meds...this week has been tough so I am looking forward to it. Anyway at the begining of April I went to MI with the girls, my mom and bro (one long ass trip) and this past weekend I went away with the hubby for our anniversary.

Jessica- Good Luck with the ultrasound today...I am anxious to hear if there is more than one in there.

Elise- poor Rayna, I hope you guys get some better answers and she gets some relief soon.

AFM- I am working my double today, but we have a big meeting with our new Chief, lets just hope we don't get our asses chewed out or something like that.

Morning Ladies!

Eileen & Elise - I admit it I am guilty. I confuse your names all the time. I know who you are and I know whose kids go with which mom... Just when I start typing it out the wrong name comes out of my fingers. I dont know why. I am sorry for the mix up but know in my heart I know the difference between you two! Surprised

Joy - That is so great that Jeremiah cut those teeth! They will probably be a little sensative for a day or two at least. Nate's were and now he wants to bit everything - including me!

Elise (oh yeah I mean her)- I hope you guys get something found out and some help with Rayna's leg. Its so sad when your babies hurt and you cant do anything for them. I hope the orthopedist gets you in today. Let us know how it goes.

Bekah - I am sorry you are going through such a hard time. We should definately get together. I know we keep saying that, but we really should.

Kim - Good Luck at your meeting. I hate those with the big wigs and you dont know what or why going in.

AFM: Well our air should be repaired this afternoon. DH is going to have to take off of work again. My turn is next. He has taken off more than I have. I am also having tremendous mommy guilt. Hot house, sick baby, having to be at work, not able to hang around and give him his treatments so DH does it. I feel like I should be there more. Going to work somedays is so hard! At least Nate woke up in a better mood today than he has in a week. He was smiling, talking and giggleing. He cant wait to get his hands on the dogs. The dogs have a different opinion on that one.

I guess that is it for now. I am off to get some work done. Happy Earth Day ladies!

Dang...I had my entire post ready and someone came into my office for almost 30 mins at it logged me out and i lost everything!!!! I'll try again.

Elise, glad you got Rayna in to the dr today.

Jessica, good luck at the u/s

Amy, hope u get some cool air today. not from tx but been there multiple times, i know it can be brutal.

Bekah, sorry to hear about your grandmother. it doesn't mean you will miss her any less but there is a better place awaiting her.
I am collecting sponsors for the walk. I hit up mostly family b/c I hate asking for money. I would be a terrible fundraiser or bill collector but I will post my website if anyone is interested.

I know I missed some people but I can remember everything I posted earlier. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Maribel- so great to hear from you!!!!! What a lucky girl you are to be going for a girls weekend to celebrate your birthday!!! How fantastic you were able to land a job with more pay and less hours!!! That is such wonderful news!!!! I still can't imagine how you do it with two infants, and a pre-schooler. I am doing good, busy at work now that the weather is getting warmer. I have been seeing a therapist and am going to see a psychiatrist due to some PPD, I have been feeling really good though since getting it all off my chest. Thanks so much for asking about me.

kim-honestly it hasnt been easy...so much has happened to my family but still staying positive..some days i cry and want to runaway but then i keep reminding myself if other moms of multiples could do it so can i..i just had to make this decision because i couldnt live with myself if something happened to my mom.she has devoted her retirement to caring for the twins fulttime but she is struggling physically so i have to do what i have to do..also to see what has happend to my sister in law, i cant complain...it will be an adjustment because i have worked fulltime forever..hang in there and glad to hear you are seeing a therapist/psych,,,keep it up! you kids are getting big and beautiful!

Mari- Wow I cant believe the twins are 9 months old(well just about)!Congrats on the new job!

I'm sorry I'm too behind so no personals You'd think that being a sahm that I'd be better at things like this...My problem is that I take too much on.We were supposed to have the rummage sale last weekend for scouts and I talked her into cancelling it for last weekend since we were so badly prepared so they are still doing it this weekend. I told her I'd white out the dates on the flyers so we could still use them(bigger task then I first thought let me tell you).I should just reprint them but I just do not have the funds for it! Well then I get a good look at the flyers and they have my cell phone number on it.Um excuse me?! That is a PRIVATE number that I do NOT want distrubuted to the entire south side of the city...She didn't even ask if I was ok with that.ARGH!!! So I called her and basically ripped her a new one. After I hung up I felt good about letting her know she can't take advantage but bad about how I approached the whole situation. Oh well...Then ODS starts t-ball tomorrow night and they are saying rain/snow but mid 70's by Friday.WTF?! And his first game is Saturday. My MIL is coming out, oh yippee!(Can you read the sarcasm?!!?! I also am the PTO treasurer but am not getting much help from the president as far as getting bank statements, etc. On top of all of it, DH has been putting about 25 hours of overtime in to his regular job a week plus still working his night job(so thats about 85 hours per week) The man gets no sleep which means I don't either because I'm absolutely terrified that one day the police will show up on my steps at 2am telling me there's been an accident.DH has a history of falling asleep at the wheel and has crashed 2 cars(totaled 1). So I worry.I just want him to take a break before he goes insane.Plus since it's light out the kids are getting up at the butt crack of dawn(lovely description I know) and are exausted by dinner time but won't sleep if its still light out...Lucas has of course with all this going on decided that he MUST be held. I can't put the stinker down to go pee( I do of course) but it gets frustrating...I do let him cry but I don't let him get to the point where he's sobbing so hard he's hiccupping. So I spend a good deal of time on my butt holding him or listening to a crying kid...I'm also trying to do a little bit of home school for DS#2 so he's ready for kindergarten in the fall...To the parents with kids in school already, do you actually read their report cards? ODS teacher was shocked when I challenged her about 2 of the grades she'd given. She gladly corrected them but mentioned that not many parents ever bother to read them.I use it as a good of what he needs to work on, does that seem right? Ok now that I've done nothing but complain, I feel a bit better. I don't know who mentioned about how wonderful all you guys are but kudos to them...I love you guys! There are some nights when I check whats happening and will say "Aww poor kid" out loud or laugh at something that someone wrote and DH says what;s happening? I say "Poor Little Nate is sick again," or " Rayna hurt her foot" or something like that and at first he used to stare at me and just wonder if he was supposed to know who I was wtalking about. Now he just smiles and nods. I love being able to share the woes and the triumphs with yall of you! Cheers Mamas!!

Diana- tomorrow is my first apt with the psychiatrist, so hopefully I will get some meds tomorrow. I think it will only need to be something quite mild. I usually see my "talk" therapist weekly...we have started doing this treatment that is kind of like hypnosis. It is called EMDR therapy (anyone interested can find out more about it by googling EMDR institute) anyway...it is very powerful, I found myself crying through it, knowing I was crying, but having no power to stop it. It is really helpful and interesting though.
