Last night we had spaghetti

Saute mushrooms garlic and onion and brown beef. Pour your favorite jar of sauce on it and mix.

Boil you up some pasta of your choice and top with sauce and sprinkle with cheese (we used itallian blend)

TaDaa! Spaghetti! Had it have it easy to make last night.

We stopped on the way home from the space center and picked up smoked meat from our favorite BBQ place. Dawson and I had smoked chicken and split a smoked baked potato, DH had smoked sausage and pork loin with buttered corn, and Brenden had his turkey, carrots, and peas. I also mashed up some of the plain smoked potato and he went nuts.....I thought he was gonna flip out of the bouncy he was so happy! I have a feeling he's gonna be like Dawson and ditch the baby food for the real stuff pretty quick! I blended up some regular Old Fashioned oatmeal in the blender this morning and cooked it with some mashed banana and he loved it far more than the baby oatmeal with the same banana....

Ok so we kinda skipped dinner last night(thurs) and the kids ate cereal(thats their usual choice even when there is dinner made) and we had the hamb and french fries tonight(friday) not quite sure about tomorrow yet...

Michelle that sounds similar to Jeremiah although he cannot really handle our food yet he doesnt care much about the baby food unless it is bananas...he gets a spoonful of it and he ends up whimpering while watching us eat he so wants our food.... I guess he knows what we have tastes way better than his..

Last night I stopped at Burger King on the way to my sister's house. This afternoon we're having BBQ. We're meeting my sister & DH for dinner on their way in from out of town for our trivia night.

Last night DH grilled some chicken breasts I had marinated in Italian dressing and I made some fresh fettucini noodles and alfredo sauce. Anytime DH fires up the grill he also makes hotdogs but I didn't care for any to go with my Italian food. And I also made cheesey garlic bread. Brenden had chicken, apple&sweetpotatoes, and 1/2 mashed banana.

* Smothered Meatloaf Recipe courtesy Sandra Lee, 2007
* 4 cups Potatoes O'Brien (recommended: Ore-Ida)
* 1 pound lean ground beef
* 1 1/4 pounds ground pork
* 1 (5.29-ounce) box Garlic Herb Shake and Bake (recommended: Kraft)
* 1 (1.1-ounce) envelope Beefy Onion Soup Mix (recommended: Lipton)
* 1 (4.5-ounce) jar Sliced Mushrooms, drained (recommended: Green Giant)
* 1 egg
* 1 (12-ounce) can condensed Cheddar soup, divided
* 1/2 cup evaporated milk
* 1 (10-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
* 1 onion, sliced thin
* 1 (8-ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms

Directions

1. Place potatoes in the bottom of a 5-quart slow cooker.
2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, shake and bake, onion soup mix, sliced mushrooms, and egg. Set aside.
3. In a small bowl, stir together 1/2 cup Cheddar soup and evaporated milk. Add to meat mixture. Using a wooden spoon or clean hands mix thoroughly and form into a loaf. Place in slow cooker on top of the potatoes. Make sure meatloaf does not touch the sides of the slow cooker.
4. Stir together remaining cheddar soup with cream of mushroom soup. Pour over meatloaf. Top with onions and mushrooms.
5. Cover and cook on HIGH setting for 1 hour. Reduce the temperature to LOW setting and cook for an additional 5 to 6 hours.

Last night was an experiment that was not a complete disaster, but definitely was not a success!

Tonight is a guaranteed winner - meatloaf! Smile

Last night we had Lettuce Wraps (frozen filling cooked in the microwave and put into fresh lettuce)
And a Shrimp Stir fry over rice. (also frozen that I cooked stovetop and the rice was steamfresh so microwave it was)

It was all really good! I was so surprised. I wanted something yummy and healthy and it worked out well.

Tonight - its just me so I will probably have a frozen tv dinner or a sandwich or something.

last night was hamburger helper...needed something easy to reheat as it was my double day at work...today I am working than have a hair apt, then we are picking up Oscar from the friend that was holding on to him so we are going to my mom's to have a proper funeral and having Chinese chicken wings and hamburger fried rice that she makes...she marinates small chicken wings in a sauce mixture of soy sauce, sugar and some other things, than she bakes the wings. To make her fried rice she browns up hamburger in an electric skillet, makes some white rice on the side then throws that in the skillet and adds a frozen veggie mix of the california blend (carrots, broccoli and cauliflower) adds in the juice from the cooked chicken pan and some more soy sauce. It is one of our favorite meals.

Joy - the meatloaf was soooooo good! I followed the recipe on the back of the lipton soup box of course changing a few things. I like fresh minced onion in mine and ketsup on top. Brenden saw the plates coming out of the kitchen and nearly flew out of his car walker! I ended up giving him a few nibbles and he loved it! LOL! I also made a hashbrown casserole that turned out yummy....so fattening though!

Kim - that recipe sounds delish! We love white rice with "juice"! LOL!

Amy - lettuce wraps sound yummy! I think I'm hungry!

Tonight we are having bbq chicken, potato salad and baked beans. I'm slow cooking some chicken so I can mince it up for Brenden since it is his 6month birthday. We will also follow tradition and have giant lollipops for dessert. I did this for Dawson when he turned 6mo and it is a great memory!

Amy, lettuce wraps do sound delish...is it actually called lettuce wrap filling in the frozen section?

Tonight we're going to do some kind of chicken stir fry. DH is stopping by the store for the veggies and maybe a seasoning packet...it's a wing it kind of thing so no telling what will happen.

Kim-ooohhh that food at your mom's sounds yummy but my dh wouldn't eat it so its a no go..Sad

Elise- I love stew but my dh is similar to Amy's he doesn't go for stews or soups...the closest he will eat to something like that is chicken and dumplings homemade...

AFM- We had chicken alfredo.....I added some peas to mine it was good..

I had a cheese sandwich and a pudding cup.

Tonight I may go crazy and have a eating right hot pocket or another cheese sandwich - You just dont know...

Oh Nate had Green Beans mixed with Carrots (that way he will eat the green beans) and a couple of TBS of rice cereal mixed in. I find the rice cereal helps him not throw up - always a bonus in my book!
