Hey Ladies.

Still no glasses, so bare with me for any typos, and lack of personals…I’m good to see what I’m getting! I need a magnifying glass!

Shannon- YAY for teeth. I wish she would cut hers, she’s so miserable at times.

Eileen- That’s so messed up about the childcare thing. What’s up with the paid vacation? When ds went to a regular daycare I didn’t have to pay for their vacation week. That’s crazy.

Joy- I hope everything goes well with Elijah and his breathing/surgery.

Diana- I hope they can get everything fixed with her soon and have it all over with so you don’t have so much to worry with, just her being a baby!

Jessi- I wish my DH would go away sometimes! Try to stay safe in all of those storms. I would hate being alone at night in a storm. During the day is tolerable.
I think I am the only one knocked up, I believe. Unless some other ladies have a surprise waiting!

Elise- yay for Rayna walking!

Amy- he will get use to the eating and the talking, then you won’t be able to make his mouth close. She rambles on and fusses at me when she is eating. It’s always momma momma momma when she wants something or is mad. When she’s sweet and loving it’s dadda! She rolled over this morning and rubbed his face and said “dadda” all sweet and loving. Then a little while later she threw her toy to the ground and screamed momma. That’s what I get! Anything she can get her hands one she will try and eat!

AFM- Chloe added to her vocabulary today. I always say no and smack her hands when she pulls my hair. We were playing in the bed this morning and she looks at me and says, “NO NO” I about died laughing!
& She tries to blow kisses, she will smack her lips and when I kiss back she will do it again!

LMAO Right now she is throwing all of her toys off of her walker in the floor and growling as she is pulling off her shit!!! I think she is having an incredible hulk moment or something!

I mentioned the other day how sweet DH was being, then of course he had to ruin it! Lol. He put a mop head into my washer and tore it up! I am so mad at him right now I could kill him. I told him before he put it in there, put it in a pillow case! No he doesn’t listen to me, and now my washer that’s less than a year old is tore up. I am going to strangle him and I think I will feel better! Lol

There is a strawberry festival up the road from us that I am thinking about going to. The heat sucks, but I think some strawberries would be great right now!

Jessica- Yea I thought I was preggo for a bit but under the circumstances right now I'm relieved that I'm not. I tap Lucas' hands and tell him no when he grabs my hair but he just looks at me and giggles or melts into tears...

Eileen- Good for you!!! Seriously it would've been awkward bringing them and then paying her for something that's not right, kwim?I'm proud of ya girl! Stick to your guns! So what are you gonna do now?

Joy- I'm right there with you on the carseat thing...I have one we got when ODS was a year old and its a nice Britax and I'm going to have to use that one for Lucas soon...Between the carseat and him in it my back is killing me...

Jessi- Hope your night was quiet and restful!

AFM: I only have Lucas and DH to take care of tonight. Dylan and Brady are at my mom's house...She just bought a bunch of baby chickens and we played with them all afternoon...And they're staying overnight.WOOHOO!!! They're getting haircuts tomorrow and then coming back sometime between lunch and dinner...On the downside, DH has a cold so has done nothing but sleep today...This may sound bitchy and I don't know that I mean it to, but what if the next time I was sick that I just slept all day?! What would happen?Anywho....I completely forgot what I was going to say so hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend....

MichelleL- I'm thinking about you and keeping my fingers crossed for monday...

Jessi- so sorry your hubby had to go away for a week hopefully the storms won’t be that bad and your mom can come

Kristen- so sorry about your grandfather my prayers are with you and for him. Here’s to celebrating life well lived!

Joy- am praying for elija sounds like the surgery will be a blessing after all the muck of having surgery

Shannon- I have a new daycare that I had set up for when the 30 day notice expired so I am calling her this weekend but until then I have a backup care place. So I am covered just money.

Michelle- I am so with you on the cloths I mean really who decided bigger girls don’t need fashion or to look good really? Oh and did I forget to mention the cost of cloths that do look decent?!?!?! Yeah I am hating that.

Jessica- LMAO about the growling, Daniel does this meow thing that is so cute it is kind of like “roear!”...lol don’t you love the things our little ones do…lol

Elise- After dealing with my daughter and her having ADHD and going through the special education and counselors and teachers and ARDS and every other acronym they have I learned that having everyone on the same page is definitely key. I got to where I ahd a template letter I give to every teacher at the beginning of the year saying how we deal with Cecilia and her ADHD and how we understand she is going to get in trouble but shouldn’t get away with it because of ADHD and so on. But getting everyone on the same page was key and I had to do that. Get a pad of paper and write down everyone’s info and e-mail and forward everything that is what I did. But have the school evaluate her and the pedi also. We got diagnosed by the pedi because the school said there was nothing wrong but I knew there was something wrong. We tried everything under the sun with her diet and therapy and stuff nothing worked until we did the medication and it has been a God send. If you are interested I can chat with you all about ADHD I knew my daughter had it from about 4 on.

Kristen I go once a month and get a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrows waxed and I love it. I always do it after I go shooting too…lol but I love it it makes you feel great!

Kim- been voting!!!

Diana- I used yo baby with my daughter who is almost 9 now and she loved it but I started it at like 9 months. I can’t remember why I waited so long though, I would just ask the doctor.

AFM I am in a quandry I ahve this back up daycare lady tashona who is great just a stay at home mom, but I already have this new lady that is a preschool teacher who is lined up to care for my kiddos. I think the new lady will be better for my son and his potty trainning since she has been a preschool teacher for like 10 years but she does a lot of crafts verses playing outside, and tashona does all playing outside which is fine by me. should I jsut go with the new lady and see how it goes, or cancel and just stay with tashona? tashona has been caring for them for the last 3 weeks and she has been great. But I foudn the other lady first and already set up with her. so what do you guys think?

Post by Kim Sun May 17, 2009 8:03 am

all righty then ladies...I am finally back, sorry for the lack of posts and personals from me this week. I should be back on more regularly. What one crazy week though, my goodness. The last day I worked was last Monday, then Tues. we met up with our friends and their kids and went to the zoo. McKenna was so cute holding hands with their daughter. They are the ones with the little boy that was born the same exact day as Landree too and boy he is huge compared to my peanut. Then Wed. I met one of my friends from my other board, it was the first time we finally got to meet in person, we have been trying for the last two years. We went to the aquarium and had a great time. She has a daughter McKenna's age and then a little boy that will be one next month. Thursday was reserved for much needed grocery shopping (my house looked like old mother hubbards) and laundry, a great 5 loads. Then Friday I went shopping for my BFF's baby shower and yesterday was one of BFF's baby shower's. Work for me today is actually a break. I have been getting on the computer everyday to read and vote for my girls, which by the way I just found out you can vote for more than one kid at a time so they both have been getting 4 votes from me a day Very Happy thank you to those of you that have been voting and if there are any of you that are still interested in voting, you can vote daily until May 24th at www.thewesterlysun.com Landree is on page 5 of the 0-12mo, and McKenna page 2 of the 2-3year olds.

Post by ladydy Sun May 17, 2009 6:31 pm

Hey Ladies,

Michelle, Good luck tomorrow. Let us know how everything goes....I'll be thinking about u.

Kim, I was going to say something about the votes but I thought maybe it really didn't count all 3 of my votes. That makes it much easier.

Amy, great on the new carseat. I had those cloth diapers that my sisters all went in for my shower and as long as you take care of them you can return them for like 1/3 of the price. Anyway, b/c of all Aubrey's bouts with antibiotics I chose to go to disposables and with the money I bought a nice new carseat, Radian 65, it's from birth to 65, front or rear facing. As soon as she does a little better with sitting up by herself (she's like a weeble, wobblying) so I don't have to take her seat into stores, I am switching her out.

Eileen, If I were you I would go with the preschool teacher. I am hoping to put Aubrey in daycare 1 day a week mid-June b/c I think she needs the interaction and the woman was a preschool teacher before she became a SAHM. I think it will do wonders for her development being around other kids and her twin cousins go there so she can see them more often.

Shannon, I hope you enjoyed your night last night!!

I know I missed some of you. I will be back on and more personable tomorrow. I just really needed to stop in and wish Michelle luck.

I'm running around crazy trying to get all my curtains washed and rehung before bedtime tonight. They were so GROSS from a few weeks back when the pollen was coming off the trees and we had the windows open. I couldn't take it anymore.

Hi Ladies.

It's such a drab boring day. I wanted to stop in and say Good Luck to Michelle for tomorrow.

Also, we actually got some real crawls out of Miss Chloe yesterday and today. She crawled probably over a foot before she rolled to her side. I was so proud. She was looking at us like we were crazy as we were cheering.

I figured I would share a couple of random pics since it's a slow day...

So yesterday hubby was eating some fries and of course Chloe had to have one, so I had to share her eating away with daddy!
Mayflowers or May Flowers??? - Page 6 100_0576

Then She's sitting in the floor. She has the remote and is yelling some kind of war cry and shaking it up and down! Notice she has took hubby's hat, her brother's game controller and some clip hubby uses on a chain. She had stole those items on her crawling adventures. lol
Mayflowers or May Flowers??? - Page 6 100_0573

Just some cute stuff I thought I would share. I need to get up and get motivated. I am exhausted it was another great night of no sleep and bathroom trips every hour. Love pregnancy! lol Hope all of ya'll had a great weekend!

All of you emomma's are fantastic and I love you all dearly. There is no place that I can talk about something or be as honest as I can on this board with all of you. Thank you for your thoughts and I'll be on here as soon as possible to let ya'll know what's going on. Thank you for caring. -Michelle

Oh Michelle - you're making me tear up! But I totally agree with you! I have never felt more secure in expressing my fears! I am so glad I signed on to that Babycenter board (which I found because the Dr I saw to confirm my pg with Logan freaked me out) and met everyone! And then we moved here, and we've become not only friends, but a family. Ok - 'nough sappy!

Shannon - I hope everything works out for you!

Eileen - tough call on the daycare provider...trust your gut! That's the best advice I can give

AFM: this weekend was okay. I'm totally exhausted, but what else is new? We told Jeremy about DH losing his job this summer - he'd been hearing bits of conversation and you could tell he didn't quite understand what was going on so now he knows the deal. Hopefully DH will find something before we have complete financial problems!

I should really go to bed - I have a crazy day tomorrow - have my dermatologist appt in the morning, so I'll be spending more time driving tomorrow morning that doing anything! Poor Logan - he's going to spend more time in the car than anywhere else! But I can't even leave him with my parents because my dad had hernia surgery last week, so and isn't really mobile! Such is the life of a 3rd kid!

Ok - off to bed I go before it's time to get up!

Michelle- My thoughts and prayers are with you today as you go through thhis. I wish you all the luck in the world...and Elise is right, on our own little board here, we have become more than friends...and I will anxiously be waiting to hear something from you.

Elise-that is how I felt all last week, Landree was in her car seat so much. The poor girl...I hope your day goes quicly.

Jessica-she is just way to cute. Landree steals her sisters toys, and then when McKenna takes them back she throws the biggest fit.

Diana-thanks for voting!!! I am going to try to talk our parent's into getting us a couple of new convertible seats for Landree's first birthday...I am going to leave her in the other seat for now, but soon will just be taking her in and out of the seat as lifting that seat is killing my wrist.

Okay so an issue for you ladies, for the last three days for about an hour each afternoon Landree just screams and screams. Not like a whiney cry but screams. Her poop has been a little harder so we have been watering down her formula and giving her sips of straight water, but I really don't think that is it. It could be her teeth but nothing looks swollen or red in there...do you ladies have any other ideas?

Lazy poster back! Sometimes I try to read up and by the time I'm getting caught up I have no time to post. Ek. I've missed you all.

MichelleL: Good luck today! I've missed a lot of the specifics, but I pray that everything turns out for the best!

Eileen: That's crap about the sitter. I would be so pissed. I think I might go with the preschool teacher too. Maybe it's just cause I love to see how much Tatzeanna learns at school and I know she can play outside whenever.

Amy: I can't believe all those teeth Nate has.. WOWZA! At least they'll be out of the way before you know it. How has your job been? Does the market seem to be picking up at all? It getting a little move lively around here. Not the best, but better for sure.

NurseJessi - That is so cute about Chloe and the baby. And I can't believe how much she talks and eats.. You know what they say.. (especially if you didn't already know you were expecting) She's just moving out of the way for the next one!

Oh! I also wanted to ask Amy about what car seat you got, and any other ladies that have quit using the carseat carriers.. I'm sooo tired of lugging that thing around but I feel like he's just to little still for a big boy seat. I don't know what to do?

I enjoyed the teeth/talking/sippy/juice/diaper size conversation for the last couple of days. I've been feeling like Dominic is a little slow in areas but it looks like everyone is chugging along at their own little pace. I just started to give him cherrios and those little puff things this weekend. He doesn't really get it yet, but I think when he does he'll be happy. I also started his sippy this weekend he gets the 1/2 water 1/2 juice in it. He didn't quite get that right away either, but is catching on to it faster than the cherrios. He's been getting juice for some time and the pedi said he could have up to 8 oz of juice a day. That sounds like a lot but he likes it. He'll drink plain water, but rather have a little juice in it.

He's not quite sitting yet, unless you sit him up, but he has been crawling for about 2 or 3 weeks. Just got 2 teeth about the same time frame and he hardly ever talks.. no real babbling at all. His pedi says she thinks it's because his sister does all the talking for him!

He was 19lbs at his 6 months check up and just moved up to size 4 diapers. It cracks me up that he's so big, Tatzeanna just turned four on the 6th and she only weights 29lbs. LOL

Hopefully everyone is having a great monday.. I'll try to be back soon and explain the rest of why I've been so absent..

Post by PolloLoco75 Mon May 18, 2009 11:09 am

Good Morning Ladies,

Well I am here at work getting ready to head out to one of our Model homes for the photo shoot. I went looking for a nice outfit all weeekend long and I ended up with a black short sleeve cardigan and a teal tank top under it with black pants. Nice but nothing too fancy. There were no clothes ANYWHERE. My mom and I went together and all she could say is THIS IS ALL CRAP at the top of her voice. So sitting here i notice that my new sweater has a hole in it. I am F-ing thrilled. Oh well its on and the hole is not noticeable. I think I am going to take the sweater back if I can.

Kim - On Landree it could be her ears. If you lay her down and she screams more lying flat that is a definate sign of an ear infection. Other than that the only thing I know of that has made Nate scream like that is gas. If her stomach is hard I would say gas. Otherwise if its not her teeth I would have her ears checked.

Michelle (mnelson) - Girl where have you been? I have been wondering about you. Yes our business is starting to pick up. Thank Goodness! We are being featured in the Dallas Morning News so hopefully that will also drum up more business. Are you at another mortgage company? I thought you had left your previous employer. On the carseat. We got the Britax Boulevard. I found it on amazon for the cheapest price $285 with free shipping. It had GREAT safety reviews and is a convertable so it will work up to 35 lbs rear facing and up to 65 lbs forward facing. So we should be able to use this seat for a really long time. That and the crash ratings on this seat are amazing. That is the reason we went with it. We also figured if he uses it up until he is 5 years old it will end up costing us $4.75 a month for the car seat.

MichelleL - I am still thinking about you and waiting to hear from you when you know something.

I hope everyone else had a great weekend.

Well this weekend was great! The weather was beautiful on Friday and on Sunday. It rained pretty much all day Saturday. DH fixed the dryer problem. He took everything apart and vacummed it all out and the thing still didnt work. He then went into the attic and sucked out the rest of the line and we had a giant clog in the pipe right at the roof line. Our dryer now works amazingly! We went for a walk on friday and one on sunday. Nate LOVED it. These were his first real outdoor walks in the stroller. No Carseat. The stroller straps are still a bit big but he still loved it. He fell asleep on yesterday's walk. It was too cute all slumped over with his hat and sunglasses on. LOL. If I had a camera I would have taken a picture!

I guess that is about it for now. We are about to head out to the model to get everthing set up.

Take Care everyone! I will try and check in later.

Post by nursejessicadavis Mon May 18, 2009 3:15 pm

Hi Ladies!

Michelle- You have been in my thoughts all day.

Kim- You are giving me what I get to look forward to with these sisters. I don’t know what’s going on with Landree, but maybe teething. Chloe is so miserable every night when the sun goes does. She sucks her top lip under her gum and just cries. We tried those teething tablets that are all natural or whatever, and those help her almost instantly. She hates orajel. I wish she would just cut one all ready. She does get really constipated also. She is on the isomil formula and it’s something awful. Before she started solid foods we had to put Kayro syrup in her bottles to get her to go.

Michelle (mnelson) - I guess maybe that’s why she’s moving along so quickly. My son was the same way. My hubby says it’s b/c I talk all the time the reason they talk all the time! She eats everything, I guess it feels good on those miserable gums of hers. I just wished she would cut at least one tooth and give her some relief.
Dominic is growing up so quickly!

Amy- Holy crap you paid that much for a car seat! I’m way too cheap. We go her’s at K-mart, it’s a Graco and it was $50! So glad he enjoyed the stroller. Chloe likes the big stroller that came with the carrier, but not the umbrella stroller. She can’t get comfy in it.

AFM- As I mentioned above we go her car seat at the K-mart. It’s rear and forward facing and goes up to 65lbs. It’s big and cushy with a snack tray and a cup holder. I figured she would enjoy that. She hates the carrier. She got to where she would push up and cry every time we tried to put her in it. So good now that she’s comfy in the big one. I am debating on going in her mouth and cutting her gums so her teeth can come out. She is miserable. She is chewing all over everything and drooling. And just not happy. I broke down and gave her the teething tablets and Tylenol last night so she could sleep for a little bit. So I get paid tomorrow and we are making our way up to the size 3 diapers! Yay. Lol I have to get those for the active babies because hers when she crawls and rolls everywhere her butt cheek starts hanging out! Lol.

I haven’t really felt the baby move much today. I don’t know if she’s in a different position or what. Maybe I haven’t drunk enough mountain dew. Hopefully she will start kicking here in a bit.
Hope ya’ll are having a good day. We are getting ready to go fishing. Hopefully the bugs won’t eat us alive!

Mayflowers or May Flowers??? - Page 6 Empty Re: Mayflowers or May Flowers???

Post by MichelleL Mon May 18, 2009 8:35 pm

Hi everyone! I don't have much time at the computer....I am cramping something fierce. Whatever she used to open my cervix nearly flipped me off the table. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but for the love of God there should be an easier way! Luckily she is quick and the procedure was less than 5 minutes. So basically she put the speculem in and then used this long metal thing to open my cervix, then what looked like a long baby bottle cleaner to obtain the sample of my uterine lining. She said my cervix looks normal, not spotty or anything, and the sample looked okay....no black or brown but all bright red. Don't know if ya'll wanted that many deets but just incase, God forbid, someone else has to go thru this you can know what to expect. In case ya'll haven't noticed I don't sugar coat anything....it is what it is. Anyway, it's going to be a week before I have final results but after talking with her today I feel so much better about the whole ordeal. If the test comes back negative she said we could still consider taking out my uterus instead of doing the ablation. I am at a VERY high risk for endemetrial cancer due to my PCOS and the ablation is going to make my uterus "un-inhabitable" anyway! If the test is positive then she will remove my uterus which should take any cancer with it. If any cancer has spread anywhere else then we will deal with that if it comes. My right ovary is still inflamed and full of cysts so I will most likely lose it when whatever procedure we decide to do is done. As long as I have one ovary left to produce my jacked up hormones it's all good. I'm bleeding and feel like someone is pinching my cervix so I'm headed to take some more of those left over c-section meds and going to bed. Thank you all again for your thoughts! I would have never made it thru this day without you guys. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart! -Michelle

Michelle- I am relieved to hear that you talking things over helped ease your mind a bit. I ain't no dr but from the way it sounds there is not any cancer. I think normally with any cancer there is some variation and difference in the way things look normally and the way things look when cancer is present. And it sounds like things appear to be normal. Hopefully all the cramping will subside quickly. And this next week will fly by fast so that way you can have concrete answers and a definite plan of action. I know my mom she had severe cramping in her stomach then it went into really really severe diarrhea plus the cramping and it got so bad that she went into the er and they discover her uterus ovaries tubes and cervix was all full of cysts. And that was the cause of all her pains. The did testing because they initially thought it was cancer but all the tests came back negative. Since she had already had tubes ties years before she was done having children so when they gave the option of full hysterectomy she went thru with it.. It was a bit of a healing process and she wanted to sleep quite a bit afterwards. I will keep you in my prayers though during this all.

Hi ladies,

Michelle, so glad to hear things look good. i'm sure everything will come back fine next week.
I've had a couple cervix opening procedures and I do not envy you.

Hi to everyone. I've read everything but just haven't had the time to post. It's just been a crazy busy couple of days.

AFM: DH an I decided not to wait on the malrotation surgery. The dr friday acted more like it wouldn't be easy to do them at the same time and Sun nite Aubrey had a constipation, screeching fit that led to puking and that was all I could take..regardless if it will fix her eating or throwing up I'm ready for her to have her stomach fixed. I don't want her or us to deal with it a minute longer than necessary. SO.... June 4th, surgery for Aubrey.
Also, DH goes Friday for the big V....WOOHOO!!! no more pills (at least eventually) b/c i'm convinced they have me whacked out and i've been breaking thru them alot.

I will definitly be keeping Aubrey in my thoughts. How long will the procedure and recovery take? How long will she have to be in the hospital for? I hope Dh's recovery goes quickly too!!!

Hi Everyone,

My goodness so much going on.

MichelleL - I am glad your test is over with and hope you stop cramping soon and feel a little better. I feel a little better with what the doctor said about things not looking abnormal. I am keeping postive about the results. Hopefully you will hear relieving news soon.

Kim - I hear you! We have had wonderful weather around here lately and it makes it so hard to work. I just keep thinking about the walk we will take after Nate's dinner. Stupid work keeping me inside when we could go to the zoo or something.

Diana - I hope this surgery will take care of all her tummy problems. I also hope you dont have too many episodes, like the one you mentioned, before then. You all will be in my thoughts. I am also curious on all the stats Kim asked about. Oh and Yeah for no more pills as soon as DH is taken care of!

Hi all you other Mammas out there!

AFM - Well Nate went to the doc yesterday and was given a clean bill of health. No ear infections or anything. Nothing going on with him but some good ol teething. Lets hope it lasts! I also had the car seat inspected this morning and had to take him with me. It was funny, he slept through the whole thing. Even taking him in and out of the seat for the officer to do everything. He woke up when I got him back to daycare and laid him in his crib. That is when the eyes popped open. Of course! Other than that I am just working my tail off today and tomorrow since I am taking off the rest of the week. That is pretty much it. I guess I should go and get back to work.

Take Care Everyone!
