Sorry to hear about your pipes...that sucks!!! I have my cabinet doors open under my kitchen sink for fear of freezing b/c it's on an outside wall.

Shannon, i saw u'r comment...i love their stuff too. actually b/c Aubrey didn't eat from a bottle/breast for 3 weeks pumping just didn't do it for me and my milk really never came in but i still wear the tops that i bought, i love them.

Elise, sorry to hear Logan has a cold. Aubrey's was congested last month and it finally went away and now it's back again, worse this time. the dr told me this time of year they can get one cold after another so i'm just using saline and hoping the same as you...rest and love...she'll be fine.

Joy, your sister/family is in my thoughts and prayers.....

Bekah, have fun tonight. after a few drinking games even though you'll miss Joey you'll be glad he's with his G'ma.

AFM: CABIN FEVER... this single digit weather is driving me crazy...it was 0 when I woke up this morning but tomorrow the high is supposed to be 42..'happy dance'...we're getting out of this house!

yeah we were in the teens this morning and it's 34 degrees now. We're not used to that here. I mean, yeah we get our winters but I was so used to the seering heat this summer that I almost miss it compared to this cold. On Tuesday I had to go to the medicaid office to get joey's temp. medicaid card and i was there at 730(they didn't open til and i went home to take a nap and couldn't because my feet were STILL frozen from standing out there so long and the vehicle i went in didn't have sufficient heating b/c of the sun roof not closing! I feel so bad for DH. I think tonight I will help him fix the sun roof.

Thank you all so much for your well wishes on DH's job! It's official! He has been screwed! And to top it off he was told by his boss in their meeting this morning that the company is selling one of their 6 $30million aircrafts and they might lay off 2 mechanics. I'm not sure if it's a smoke screen so DH doesn't start going up the ranks about this raise being ripped out of underneath him or the boss was giving him a heads up that something might happen. I'm leaning towards him being a lying jackass because he also told DH that he would re-evaluate the situation next November and possibly do somehting then. Anyone know of a company needing an experienced/licensed jet engine mechanic that has a 15 year work history with the same company??? I think he's going to find a head hunter. I feel so bad for him! He's been with this company since he was 19 years old and his dad has been with them since before DH was BORN! All of our friends work for them....he has built his/our lives around them. His boss hasn't even been there 2 years! I am just so upset he is being treated this way! I've read the posts but I just can't post personals today....I AM SO SORRY! Diana- unfortunately I seem to be here when all the crappy calls come in...so I can't really say I have had anything excting...devastating yes, but nothing really fun.

Michelle- I hope things work out with your DH's job, this economy really sucks...we have a spending and hiring freeze in our town, so in reality our station can't even buy toilet paper...if we run out we have to buy it ourselves.

Kim - I guess ya'll don't even have the option of wiping with leaves....they're too frozen! LOL sorry just had to smile for a minute!

and buried under a ton of snow...the crazy part about all of this...our town actually has a $5,000,000 surplus, but because the Governor just announced cuts to the towns in an amended budget, and the town administrator is an interm one, he is trying to impress the town council by calling for the spending and hiring freeze...the person who orders our fuel oil, actually was questioned and given a ration of shit about ordering it...so we are supposed to freeze apparently too.

MichelleL-I have had a crappy day...THen I read your comment about the leaves...HaHaHa!!!!!!That made me smile!!!

Ok other than that I just dont have the energy for personals...Its FREEZING here in NY.We're at 2 degrees and with the windchills its around -15 to -20 degrees. Guess I'll have to put away the bikini.HA yeah right-me in a bikini that's so funny! Even in the house I can't seem to get warm and toasty.Our house is poorly insulated so its kinda drafty.ODS has a yucky cough, yet again.But middle ds sounds ok so far as does Lucas, although I think he's hitting a growth spurt because all he wants to do lately is eat, eat, eat! I made something interesting for dinner for all my diet buddies, this is a healthy and easy meal! I made lentil tacos. They were actually decent!Anyone interested then let me know!!

OK am off to try and curl up under the covers...

Michelle - sorry things are going so well. but the leaves thing was funny!

Shannon - i hear ya on the cold - i'm constantly turning the heat up because i'm freezing and then back down because it's too warm! i'm done with winter already!! and we're supposed to get more snow on sunday! grrrrr

AFM: I think my left arm is going to fall off - that's the side Logan likes to be held on and that's all I've been doing today is holding a sleeping baby or feeding a baby or trying to quiet a fussy baby --- gotta love it when they're not feeling well and just want mom! he was fussing and i made DH go up and deal with him because my arm hurts!! ok - i'm tired - off to veg and then off to sleep!!

michelle - Hey, has he looked into anything military related? like L3? My grandmother lives in greenville TX (not far from here, where you'd have to move if he got the job, but here is a job for a mechanic, but not with the same company. sorry babe, it's all i could find that i knew was legit and totally worth it.

AMy sorry you are feeling so bad, i read the what to expect the first year to see how to go about feeding them. i started with rice cereal adn went to the grains and then started on fruits with my kids i think this time i will start with veggies see how that goes.

kristen and shannon- you should try the special k fiber water. fiber makes you feel full adn this is tasteless water soluable stuff that gives you more fiber thus making you feel more full.

Kim that is so cool delivering a baby that is awesome! i would of loved a call like that when i did dispatching!

elise- sorry logan has a cold it is so hard when our littel onwes are sick at this age and now we can't even give them the tylenol with cold medicine in it anymore so they just have to suffer!

AFM sorry about being MIA i had training all week on a day schedule with no copmputer access so i missed you all! i got to spend a day at teh shooting range and a day fighting with everyone working on my defensive tactics it was awesome! it reminded me of how fun my job can be sometiems. i had forgotten. sad to go back to nights but happy to get back to my normal schedule. I am going to a gym on monday that has free personal training i may take them up adn go there on my way home from work every day. anyways aside frmo all that it has been a good week. sorry to hear everyeon seems to be battling colds and stuff. daniel is coughing (knock on wood) it is only a cough. Daniel is 3 months now and we are waitting until 4 months to do cereal i tried it at 2 months and it constipated him so holding my breath since everythign seems to constipate him. I really missed you all! glad to beback hope everyone has a great weekend!

Bekah - Thanks for the listing!!! DH has been on the computer all morning looking into fortune 500 companies since they usually have corporate aviation departments. We are actually going to aim for the DFW area since it's much closer to home (Bartlesville, OK) and it seems like it is always booming there! After living here I don't htink I could go back to a small town! Anyway, we have always said that the company brought us here and if we ever had the chance to leave you'd see smoke behind our feet....so we are definately looking!

Eileen - good to see you back! I hate getting off schedule...I bet you really are looking forward to getting back to normal! I hope you can make it to the gym as often as you plan to....it's amazing how refreshed one can feel after exercising! I should follow your example instead of just commenting on it, huh? LOL

AFM - DH's company announced their plan to lay off 4% of their workforce yesterday. I nearly hit the floor when I saw it on the news. You'd think a billion $$$ oil company would have tons of money after the oil surge but since prices are back to a reasonable amount they have to cut the workers that make the profits possible while the executives get their million dollar bonuses. I think I'm getting bitter.... Anyway, Brenden is having a horrible time staying asleep longer than 30 minutes today so I imagine it will be another sleepless night for me tonight. He is definately teething. I disolved 2 teething tablets in water and gave them to him this morning and he stopped crying and eating his fists....he just wouldn't go back to sleep and it was only 6am!! Little turd kept smiling and cooing and making me laugh! LOL Well, I'm going to get back to laundry! I hope ya'll have a great Saturday evening! And Bekah...I wanted to tell you that your family picture is adorable! You look fantastic! :-)

michelle- DH has been trying to get into the airport for a long time... he wants to be a ramp agent, and they STILL haven't called him! He applied for southwest and went to an interview and did a drug test and the jerk called him back and was like, "sorry, we skipped a couple of guys on the list, you're going to have to wait..." and we haven't heard shit(sorry I'm currently in a bad mood. see: "need a place to vent?") back from them! But apparently now he's first on the list. I know it's a different job. But he should really look into L3 communications. They specialize in aircraft mechanics and such and Greenville(also closer to OK than dallas) is only like an hour away from where me and amy live(plano). And plano's only about 30 minutes outside of dallas. Greenville is also a really quaint little town. it's got everything you need, but it's not obnoxious like it is here in plano... it's one of those church towns where everybody knows the town's history and stuff. I would really look into it! Also, thanks!

Bekah - I understand your frustration! The airlines SUCK in their hiring procedures. One of my old employees quit working for me and started for Express Jet and it was that way there. Basically no qualifications....just a waiting list to see who got hired next. It shows what kind of turn over they have! DH worked the line (fueling, unloading, directing, ect) until he got his A&P license and it was a whole different ball game! I showed him the listing you found and he said he wants to stay in corporate aviation because of the pay and benefits. He also said your DH might want to look into corporate aviation as opposed to airlines because the airlines lay people off all of the time and their pay isn't as good as with a corporation. Since it's a private service they expect exemplary employees and pay as such. Just to say DH left the line making close to $50k (base pay) per year and that was quite a few years ago. Also, DH's company paid IN FULL the $40k it cost to get his A&P. Anyway, just a thought for ya'll. What does your DH do now? Thru our job searches if I see anything in your area your DH might be interested in I'll let ya' know....if ya' want. Off to read the vents...

Michelle - sorry about DH's company being a PITA. We've been thru layoffs before (and are in the midst of one now) and they suck the big one. Hopefully, he'll be able to find something quickly!

AFM: ODS's b-day party was today -- we had a total of 11 kids (2 of which were mine), so not a bad turn out. They had a blast! I posted the pictures on my facebook page, so if anyone is on facebook, add me and you can see them. The in-laws came in for the weekend....they showed up at our house at 11am this morning, we left for the party at 1:30, got back around 5, Rayna and Logan are in bed, Jeremy (ODS) is playing wii with my MIL and DH is trying to help FIL with his laptop. They're leaving tomorrow morning - probably without seeing the kids, and they'll complain how they never get to see the kids! I told DH when they do, he needs to point out that they won't stay at the house anymore (our guest room disappeared for Logan's room), even though we have a queen-size platform Aero bed. So they don't come to the house until after they have breakfast. Ok - a little vent there, sorry...

Logan is still stuffy...no fever, just a cough. We have the humidifer running in his room and I've put the saline drops in his nose. Not too much else we can do, I know.

We're supposed to get more snow tomorrow (yippeee...can't you tell how excited i am? NOT!) and ODS is home on monday for MLK day, so it'll be a VERY long day! Alrighty, time to stop my bitchin'....

Well Friday I was on here right before I left work for the day. I was sicker than a dog! I am so glad to be better now. Well, I wrote out this long personal post. With messages to everyone and it took me like 15-20 minutes to put together. Well I go to post and the whole thing erases somehow. I was so mad that I just closd out of here and left. I couldnt even come back over the weekend because 1)I felt like I was at deaths door and 2) I was so mad I couldnt even bear to look at the board. Funny huh?

So I will have to catch up with personals later. I had a great weekend of holding the couch down trying to get better. No much going on with us here.

Michelle (Chayce)- Also in the DFW area we have Boeing. I dont know if they have any openings but its an idea and its also on the way to Oklahoma. I wish you and DH the best on finding something new.

Elise - Same to you! I hope your DH finds something new soon. Hopefully somehwere that you will all love.

I guess thats it for now. I am going to go and post a few pics I took of Nate while on the couch this weekend. We were having pajamma days!

Well not much new with I,DH,or the kids but..
On an awesome note my sister had a breathing test done on Sunday to see if it would be safe to remove the ventilator or else they would have had to put in a trach tube...GOOD NEWS GOOD NEWS!!! She passed the breathing test and they were able to take her off of the ventilator. My brother said that she is still kinda in and out of it(probably due to pain meds) but that she is somewhat awake and able to talk. She is a bit confused also which is gonna be because she is waking up not knowing she has been out of it for like 2 weeks. So the first thing she asked my brother when she awoke was where is Dillon(her Dh) and the kids.... I so wish Dh had a job and we had extra money and they didn't live so far away. But I am just glad she is still improving and that she is off the ventilator now. Just figured I would let you guys know the good news.

Amy- glad you are feeling better...can't go wrong spending the weekend on the couch in jammies just wish it would have been without you being sick to enjoy it more.

wish em luck girls i joined a gym yesturday adn i have my first training session this morning with my personal trainer...here's to seriously losing some weight and putting myself through hell...lol

AFM- Well Maddie got her first cold and fever of 100.5-100.6. She was grumpy all weekend and was so congested I had her sleep with me holding her up on Sunday because she seemed to be having trouble breathing laying flat. Well, I've been pumping her with saline spray and I bought a cool mist humidifier and it worked wonders. She woke up looking like she felt much better and was way less snorty. But, the thrush has not gone completely away. I'm wondering if it is due to the binky. She loves her Binky. I sanitize it all day and sterilize one each night, but the thrush went away from her tongue and stayed on her cheeks. Now it's going back on her tongue. The dr. had to call in another (3rd) prescription! I just want to get rid of it for her!!
Anyways, have to go get the kids from P.E. class. Have a great day!

AFM: last night was the WORST!! Logan was up screaming constantly -- nothing would calm him down. i was so tired and aggrevated I just had to let DH deal with him. i think i got a total of 4 hours sleep between 11:30pm and 6:30am....not a good start to a busy day! i'm hoping tonight's better and it was just because yesterday was kinda crazy since ODS was home and I had to take ODS to the dr's for his physical, and so i left Logan and DD home with my mom....so, hopefully, he'll have a better day therefore a better night! i am just so tired!!!!!!!!!!

DD is driving me nuts with the potty training...at home, in underwear she's usually pretty good about going, but not consistently and the last couple of weeks on the weekend we've been taking her out of the house in underwear and she's done okay, but does end up wetting her pants. i think maybe next week we'll try her in underwear at school....i'm hoping we've finally turned a corner!!! ok - logan is being fussy still -- hopefully he'll go to sleep so i can get caught up on the laundry!!!

Kristen - if you're nursing, make sure you've taken something for the thrush or you'll just be passing it back to her! When ODS had thrush, they gave me a pill because thrush is a yeast infection that can get passed from breast to baby!

Elise- Thanks, I actually stopped breastfeeding. When she first got thrush mid- December, I stopped while she took her medicine because I had read that somewhere. Then after her med. was done, I tried to breastfeed, I was going to do it twice a day once when she woke up and the other at night. But she didn't want to nurse as much it was like she was used to the bottle and my pump stinks and was only pumping 1 0z. a day even though I could still express some after (sorry tmi). My friend said she passed it back and forth too and it got painful!

My cousin had thrush off and on the entire 18 months she nursed her daughter.She said its very painful...

No personals today, sorry guys.I've gotten on the site the last few days but never had a chance to read anything...It was a crazy weekend and we had no down time whatsoever and so I'm having a tough time getting started this week. Saturday was ODS birthday and my sister was in town and wanted to take him and DS#2 to Chuck E Cheese. She doesn't have any kids yet(she's preggo but hasn't announced it yet- our mom told me )DH and I offered to go along and help but they wanted to tackle it by themselves.So DH, Lucas and I went out to lunch at Applebee's and then to get DS's birthday present and book for cub scouts. We got back the same time as them and walked in the door as my Dane peed everywhere on my floor.Aaahhhh!!!! Got the lake cleaned up and went to Mary's to play some games.It was FREEZING on the walk over.But we had a blast and got home really way too late. Sunday ODS woke up crying and screaming because he couldn't walk...Literally couldn't put any weight on his left leg.And the fun part was that we were supposed to be going to my moms to celebrate his birthday(he wanted a pinata and we had no place for him to break one).We had to carry him everywere, poor kid...He's not one to complain about pain and he was in tears so I know it hurt. He probably pulled a muscle bouncing around at Mary's because he's fine now.Was still a bit sore yesterday...Both boys have had colds off and on(mostly on) since ODS started kindergaten and I've had one or both in to the doctor like every month since then...Well the both sound horrible so we went in yesterday and they both have walking pneumonia so doctor is doing zithromax with them.DS#2 also was diagnosed with asthma officially as well. So he's four years old and is on advair and singulair...Poor kid...I feel so bad that he has asthma(came from me).I feel like I cursed him...On top of all of this because of all the chaos and loss of normal naps and late bedtimes, Lucas has been miserable!!! Wanting nothing to do with anyone including me...Poor baby...He was doing better yesterday and today is fine...So that's my weekend! Sounds like I wasn't the only one that had a crappy/crazy one...Sorry to those who's weekend sucked!
